Beautifully made teapot!
This cast iron teapot is an eyecatcher as well as being practical. I use cast iron every day so this was an easy addition in my kitchen. This has a large, flat bottom for quick, even, heating and good stability. The inside of the teapot is fully enamel coated. The tea doesn't contact the cast iron anywhere inside. It's coated smooth all the way to the lid. I don't see that the iron will have any effect or addition to the liquid inside. The inner tea basket is fine woven and is suitable for steeping and straining. This is perfect for me because I can set it on the warm, not hot, areas of my wood stove to enjoy hot tea in the evenings. The colors is beautiful and it adds such a nice ambiance. (The care instructions are important to follow if your not familiar with cast iron. Keep it dry, clean and not hot when not in use.)

Great teapot!! My favorite Xmas present!!
I LOVE this teapot! I drink a ton of tea and I have this baby over his warmer most of the day! The larger volume is wonderful, it holds about three and a half 12oz cups, at least I think that’s how big my teacup is.. but it holds about three cups and some change. I DO NOT wash it, as the more tea that’s made through it the sweeter the tea becomes.. it seasons, but unlike traditional cast iron pots you don’t have to season it the hard way to keep it from rusting because of the enamel coat on the interior; I’m honestly on the fence about that, but I suppose it would prevent tetanus for people who don’t know how to properly season a traditional pot.. by traditional what I mean is unglazed, the way they were made for hundreds of years.. the moral is: it makes wonderful tea, I highly recommend it! Don’t wash the seasoning off of the inside, put a coat of olive oil on the outside to give it a little more of a rust barrier, and join us for tea!! Great pot!!

A Great Addition for the Kitchen
Based on customer reviews, I decided to purchase this teapot, and I’m very pleased with it. The seller did an excellent job packaging it, so there was no damage during delivery. The size is perfect—not too big, not too small—and fits my needs perfectly. Since I already have a collection of green houseware in my kitchen, this teapot is a great addition. It boils water quickly on both the stovetop and electric stove. Once it’s boiled, I lower the power to the lowest setting to maintain the temperature. The taste of the tea is excellent as well. I highly recommend it!

Nice, but sometimes messy
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Beautiful pot, but leaks often. Also, its hard to gauge when the tea is done. Frequently, it boils over and it happens so fast. It makes a mess on the stove. It's pretty, but sometimes not very efficient.

Very easy to clean and really pretty
I did not want another tea kettle that was supposedly made of stainless steel and then rusted out. I love cast iron for its durability and ease of care. It holds, about 3 1/2 cups of water. Follow the care, instructions and it will last forever.

Beautiful teapot
It really is heavy and well-crafted and beautiful. If I had a complaint… you have to fill the teapot up to fill in order for the herbs in the basket to get wet and steep. So the pot is beautiful but the immersion basket isn’t as great as I’d like. And it’s very hard to empty the teapot of all water. There’s a note that comes with it saying it’s prone to rust if you don’t drain it of water. So you have to be intentional about emptying it and drying it out after use.
