New Balance Men's Composite Toe Quikshift | Safety Work Shoes

I've got flattish, wide feet so there are only a handful of brands that do wides well. NB is one. I needed new work shoes and these have performed as expected. They fit well and are comfortable. I'm not going to necessarily fault NB for my gripe but if they are listening...I always, always, no matter what brand I get, have the back inner heel lining wear out first. I know it probably has to do with the fit, but according to the gov't, I have abnormal feet anyways. I know that if that liner was too durable, my socks are going to wear first. That's more preferable for me cost wise. But I've owned many pairs of safety boots/shoes and they all do it. A shorter boot puts the toebox in a bad place so I go a half size bigger.They are grippy on our shop floors, but are squeaky on linoleum which means I walk around the front office making noise. I'll replace them when the sole wears too thin, which should be around two years at least. The soles are nice and I see no signs of material separation yet.NB has always done well for me. I'm going to say this pair has been the best work shoe/boot I've had in my 30 plus years of needing safety toes.

I walk on concrete all day long in an industrial environment in safety boots or shoes. Recently, I started to have some ankle, arch, and heel pain. My feet were killing me at the end of the day. It got to the point that I was experiencing significant pain. I tried some orthopedic inserts and that helped a lot. However, I still was not completely pain free. I was going to go to a podiatrist, but one of my co-workers told me I just needed some different footwear. I decided to change from a boot to a shoe. After looking at shoes at an orthopedic shoe place and being shocked at how expensive they were, I started looking at reviews online for orthopedic work shoes. These New Balance industrial safety shoes are highly rated for comfort. I wasn't too sure if they would be right for me as I have always worn boots, but I ordered them because they are way less expensive than any work shoe that has "ortho" in the name. When I got them, I replaced the standard insert with an orthopedic insert that has a heel cushion and arch support. I put them on and wore them around my house trying to decide if I wanted to wear them to work the next day. Frankly, they didn't seem all that comfortable, but I decided to wear them the next day. I walked all day without any pain at all. My feet felt the same at the end of the day as they did at the start of the day. When I was wearing boots, my feet would be killing me at the end of the day and I couldn't wait to get home home and take off my boots. With these New Balance shoes, my feet felt so good at the end of the day I didn't want to take off my shoes. These shoes are an absolute game changer. They are wonderful and so comfortable to walk in. I also really like the slip resistant sole. My boots were smooth on the bottom for walking inside. When I had to walk through a wet or snowy parking lot, or a wet or oily spill on the floor inside, I would slip and actually had a couple of falls. These shoes solve all of the problems I needed solved. The only question I have now is how well they will hold up. They are very well made and sturdy, so I don't see that as being an issue at all. These are seriously great shoes. If you are having any type of foot pain at work, buy these and get a good orthopedic insert. You will be amazed at how much better your feet and ankles will feel. They are worth every penny. I am very pleased and thankful to have these New Balance shoes.

I work in a warehouse which requires heavy lifting, a lot of walking and is ripe with potential slip, trip and falls along with heavy moving equipment and freight that can crush your toes. While I thankfully haven't tested the protection aspects of these shoes, I have walked around 50k steps over the last couple of days and these shoes are very comfortable to wear and fit true to size. So far so good. I hope these last awhile.

Extremely comfortable, lightweight and breathable. Most people were surprised to learn they were safety shoes as the look like cross trainers. I try to avoid slippery areas in the shop, but I've never had a scare when I had to walk through fluids. My right shoe has a mysterious hole in the top now, but when I have to replace it, I will definitely get more of these

Better than wearing tennis shoes, but the lack of a leather toe means the cloth is gonna wear out in a few months. The laces came apart too, but that's not a big deal. These were comfortable, stylish, and broke in after just a few days, but I think I'll go back to wearing boots.

Solid shoe. Good quality. They were too narrow for me, but I wish I could have used them. They looked good and appeared to be very durable. X-wide in this case means 4E. The only thing I wish was different is that they would have said that in the description. I am returning this pair and hope to find one wider of the same version.

I ordered a size 12. It was closer to a size 14 in my old work shoe. I ended up with a size 11 which will be the correct size for the New Balance shoe. It is a tad tighter on the initial fit than I’d like. Hopefully that the break-in eases the fitment. A nice feature is as I walk in these shoes there is a forward roll from heel to toe like in a running trainer shoe. I am left with the feeling that my forward gait is more efficient than with my previous and more traditional safety toe work shoes.

Bought for a family member and they say it is super comfortable and the extra wide width is perfect.
