Partners review - The gel was clear allowing me to see the edge where I needed to only neaten my beard. It is also nourishes the skin so it didn't feel dried out and rough. There is a pleasant menthol smell that clears the nose, which is an added bonus. It works very well, but still doesn't justify the price tag.

It's great to have a shave gel that doesn't cover your face in foam. You can see exactly where and what you are shaving and also as an added bonus you get less mess in the sink. Much less chance of your drains getting blocked up by clumps of foam too. Perfect if you want to keep some facial hair, or just shave neck hair.

OK this is advertised as "This clear, non-foaming shave gel allows you to see where you are shaving so that you can design your own style with ease" Though this is not absolutely true as I could not see through the allegedly "clear" gel,this still remains as one of the best shaving gels I have ever used! The shave gel allowed me to have a very comfortable, an (almost) friction free wet shave and also seemed to leave my face feeling pretty well moisturized too! The very slight aroma is a pleasant little side effect of this very effective gel. There is only one downside to this product for me, and that is the price...£14? That is really pricey.....very effective though!

This is a thick, clear gel which feels tingly and icy cold when applied to the skin, and because it's clear it's easy to see the areas that require shaving. From a shaving point of view this is no better than many other gels and foams on the market, however, where this one wins is the fact that the shaving area is not obscured by anything. We both quite like the initial smell, but there is a strange “fishy” smell a few seconds after application; this does fade but it quite off putting for a few seconds. The skin is really soft and smooth after use. The price...ouch! This tube contains less than 3.5 fluid ounces and is way out of our budget for this type of product; this is the reason for my low rating.

I like a close shave, but I'm lazy and it's not unusual for me to leave it a week at which point my razor may struggle a little. But this ensured an overused Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power (completely white indicator strip) made light work of my beard. I also much appreciate the thin clear gel that ensures you can see what you're doing. All in all, very impressive.

Overpriced and not fit for the job. Had high hopes for this but it just doesn't stop Razer burn. I will be sticking to osmo shave spray.

I have had beards of various styles on and off for over 30 years. In that time I have never, not once had a problem trimming an edge because I could not see through foam. So really, this company are striving to invent a solution for a problem which I don't think anybody has. That is modern day marketing for you I suppose. That nonsense aside, this is nice shave gel to use. Smooth to use and no skin irritation. Pleasant minty/eucalyptus smell. Contains Aloe vera so feels very cooling. Contains no parabens. Always a bonus.
