Well designed and constructed product
I screwed it into an 1/8”-thick ABS plastic panel and installed the panel (using the license plate bolts) underneath and above the rear license plate in my old Honda Accord Coupe. The wires pass thru a hole in the panel. The mount for the original light rusted away. The light is bright but for a more uniform illumination it is preferable to use a couple of these LED lights. I’ve had it for only a couple of weeks.

One of them was all I needed for the plate on the back of the party bus. Plenty bright, 2 lights may even be too bright depending on the application. I got the chrome ones because I figured metal is better than plastic for durability. Works great.

Bulb is a lamp
I need a 6 volt licensplate lamp for a vintage car. These lamps are bulb and lamp as one unit. Bulb goes, entire lamp must be exchanged. I would have changed the bulb to a 6 volt, not possible, can not use it. Goes right in the trash can.
