I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not, and I was on the fence between a weighted vest and a rucksack. I love it, and I feel I made the right choice for me. The shoulder straps are definitely wide enough that the weight is well distributed and they don't cut into your shoulders. I feel 30lbs is perfect. It's enough to get your heart rate up and get a good workout without it being torture and wearing you out. In fact, I feel really good after my hikes from the "runner's high" I get, plus the feeling of lightness when you take the vest off. I definitely got much more Zone 3 sustained cardio than just a regular walk. Some argue rucksacks are better, but I think it depends how you intend to use it, and your own personal tastes. I personally don't like carrying around bulky packs with a bunch of straps. I like how streamlined the vest is, and I intend to do push ups and pull ups in the vest in addition to hiking, so the vest is better for me. Streamlined weight is also much better for climing and scambling on more challenging hikes, and better if you have to trailblaze through brush. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

this is a nice weight vest. does not hurt the shoulders and is comfortable. I am happy about the new modifications to weight vests now because the older styles were too bulky and poorly fitted. I purchased the 30lb. vest.

Awesome fit! Straps on with buckles that snap in place for a very well snug fit. Excellent material! Isn’t bulky, able to walk and exercise with ease. Bought for myself and teen son who has been interested in fitness training. Excellent start!

I started using the 30 pound vest in January 2025. I’ve used it for over a year without any issues. I’ve tried other weighted vests but this one is the most comfortable.

I like to walk for exercise. Wouldn't it be more fun to add 30lbs to my torso, and go for a 3-5 mile walk? You betcha!!! This adds the weight close and spread evenly around your torso, so it doesn't feel weird or off center. Now, let's pretend your shoe comes untied... bend over to tie it and the vest punches you in the face for not tieing your shoe properly the first time! It wasnt meant for negative Gs Mav! I do run with it on, not bad overall. Not far, I am not insane!!!
