Photos of actual samples of the author's dyed wool yarns much more realistic and helpful than printed color swatches in the author's prior book. Great value and resource for natural dyers and eco-printers!

I love this book, even though there are similiarities in all her books, there is always new information to add to this process of dyeing.buy all her books basically.

I am a dyer of woolen yarns and like to use natural plants and insects to achieve the colors of nature. Thank-you for this additional reference when I am researching new colors and products to dye with.

A few secrets about color fastness no one else has reveled

Really interesting and well researched book on dyes used in early history in Europe. It is inspiring me to explore more sustainable ways to dye, including without mordants. Jenny Dean is, as per usual, amazing.
