Update: Ordered my second bag of these peppercorns today, 4-30-2020! They really are a great choice. Store them in your freezer and they keep fresh. Have you ever bought a new pepper mill and it came pre-filled with peppercorns? I have. Little did I know what really fresh, quality peppercorns added to the taste of food. But now I do, and if you don't know yet what fresh peppercorns will do for your tastebuds, then get these Malabar peppercorns and you'll thank me later. For me, it really has been a nice surprise. As I opened the zip-lock bag, I could immediately smell the robust, full-bodied aroma of the peppercorns. The smell was rich and brisk, with a spicy freshness I wasn't used to. Most pleasant! Next, I got out a skillet and three eggs to make myself a fried egg sandwich, or "sammich" as I call them. As the egg whites began to firm up, I refilled my peppermill with the new peppercorns and ground the pepper onto the eggs. I prefer a really coarse grind of peppercorns. Like small, tiny bolders. And I cover my eggs with plenty of dark, fragrant, spicy goodness with these peppercorns. You can still see some of the whites of the eggs as they fry up, but not much. Yummy! Full disclosure: I'm not some connoisseur of pepper or peppercorns. Nope. But I am the kind of guy that loves pepper, freshly ground, and lots of it. Probably more than a normal person would ever use at once, but I'm not normal. I've even thought about changing my name to Abby Normal. It would be fitting! I'm a bit cracked myself, so it's no wonder I love freshly cracked/ground peppercorns. If you don't know what a difference quality, fresh peppercorns smell or taste like, then do yourself a favor and get a bag of these peppercorns. Life it too short for old, stale peppercorns. The problem with the peppercorns that come with some peppermills is that you don't know how fresh, or not, the peppercorns are. Often, the country of origin is not specified, or what type of peppercorns the mill comes with. In some reviews, it was mentioned there were stems in the bag. There were no stems in the bag I received. Only peppercorns.

The quantity and size for the price is excellent . Easy to pour into my electric pepper shaker. The freshness seal keeps it fresh and pepper quality good while stored in my pantry.

These peppercorns are fresh, aromatic, and produce ground pepper that tastes wonderful The ziplock bag keeps them fresh, so that you can refill your pepper mill as you need to and not lose anything. This was my second order, and will certainly not be my last.

What have I been eating all these years?? Whatever pepper I normally eat is so inferior compared to this pepper! I mean, seriously, this pepper is just so incredibly robust in flavor (earthy or almost a hint of smoked wood kind of taste I'd say), and it actually packs quite a bit of spice -- very different form store-bought black peppercorns. I thought it was just me, but I have shared this peppercorn with others and had taste tests and this pepper is definitively superior to other store bought peppers. The crazy thing is that tt was totally unexpected. I was just looking for somewhere to buy bulk peppercorns cheaply a few months ago, and I bought these malabar peppercorns because they were cheaper per oz than anything else I could find. I couldn't believe by trying to save money I found the best pepper I've ever had. I'm on my 3rd bag of it this year. If the price doesn't go up, I'm sticking with this peppercorn for the longhaul. SOO GOOd. It doesn't make sense that this can be so good. YOU NEED TO TRY THIS.

Although it is not inexpensive, it is a quality pepper. It has a very nice taste. Very fresh and spicy.

Although not quite a Tellicherry, which is essentially the same peppercorn but a different size and slightly more flavourful and piquant, this is a real bargain and if you use a lot of pepper, like I do, this is a better choice. IT IS EXCELLENT PEPPER.
