The media could not be loaded.  I have bought many of their shells and tops for the series 2. Good directions in the YouTube video comes with about everything you could need and extras. The magnets are a little weak compared to OEM they are still workable and adequate. I used the bar magnets out of my old base because one of mine broke no big deal I knew better and was luck it was only 1 that broke. Doesn't sit flat but that's ok. This is a great replacement overall I recommend this companies replacement parts.

Since the elite two controller is quite expensive and there's not that many colorways I think this is an excellent product that this company has brought to market. I've used this company's stuff on other controllers and found it to be easy enough to do shell replacement. That being said this one is a little more intricate and takes a little more patience to get the shell replaced but once you do this thing looks fantastic. I like that it has many different options here and also like to texture of it. It's really fun that this company continues to make customizable products so that you can make your gaming devices stand out. Again watch the videos on YouTube so you can watch step by step how to do this making it simple even though it is a little bit more involved than their regular controller sale replacements. I bought the top and bottom halves together to swap out so that I would lose the rubber grips the factory shell has. I don’t like those grips, and the rubber will break down over time.Pros: This bottom half shell is made of nice soft touch rubberized plastic. It feels nice in the hand and does not have rubber grips that will break down over time from hand oils. Unfortunately, the color and texture are the only two upsides.Cons: The battery cover, back paddle PCBs, and screws are reused and to be transplanted from the factory shell. This is fine, but what isn’t reused are the magnets for charging, and the magnets for the paddles to mount to. The new magnets are significantly weaker, and you will notice it, as they affect how snappy the paddles feel. Additionally, the magnets are supposed to be marked to help you identify how to mount them. Mine were not, so that made for a frustrating bit of trial and error. Even getting them mounted right isn’t great though, because the magnets are weaker. One of the magnets cracked a big chunk off by snapping back together after I separated them. Yeah the included magnets are garbage.The bottom half shell also does not cleanly mate to the ExtremeRate top half. The two are misaligned slightly, in a way that can be seen but not felt. I’m nit picky, but this might not bother you.I will probably swap the original shell back onto the controller. Thankfully, nothing involving this shell swap project is irreversible if you’re careful.

This kit includes a lot of accessories, including a few that are really heard to find. I needed a spring for the trigger lock on my old controller and it was very hard to find. This kit included 2 springs, so that alone really added a bunch of value in my opinion. The kit includes everything you need to transfer your controller over to it, even if you’re missing most of the stock parts, however the bottom shell could be a bit stronger. The stock bottom shell is much more rigid and doesn’t flex as much as this shell, and the screws feel as though they can easily strip in the thinner plastic. I didn’t really torque the screws down hard for this reason so it held up just fine. The shell isn’t nearly as grippy as the stock one either, since it’s not rubberized like the stock one, but the texture does help a bit with that. Overall I’m not blown away by the shell but the kit is very valuable and includes a lot of extras I wasn’t expecting to come with it.

This was an amazing buy, it worked out so well. The only bad this you have to seriously be care when installing the battery, I had to redo it. Also I had to reuse my old trigger locks on the account the new ones were not manufactured correctly and would not turn

This ExtremeRate Bottom Shell makes a good third-party replacement bottom shell for Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. The Elite 2 controller uses the soft touch or rubberized plastic on the bottom and after a while, this becomes sticky and gummy and there is no way to clean it. Only option is to replace the shell. The ExtremeRate shell has a great build and overall fit is good. The model I got has a nice texture on the palm grip, which resembles water droplets. The back area connecting the palm grips also has a very light soft touch feel, but unlike the original shell. The grip overall with the ExtremeRate shell is not as good as original but also doesn't feel sticky and gummy.Installation was a bit of a challenge and even though I've replaced housings on the non-Elite Xbox One controllers, the Elite Series 2 is more complicated. Video guide, tools, screws and all parts are provided so that is good. I would watch the video once to get familiar with the process before attempting. The bottom shell provides for an almost perfect fit, unlike other third-party housings I've replaced for Xbox One controllers.

Exactly what was advertised no issues would buy again if I ever need to

Nachdem ich meinen X-Box Elite Series 2 Kontroller schon ca. 1,5 Jahre habe, hat sich die Gummierung links abgelöst. Sehr ärgerlich und kleben ist auch nicht wirklich, weil sich die Gummierung gedehnt und verzogen hat. Klar kann man das auch zurecht schneiden und mit 2 Komponentenkleb wieder richten, aber für mich wäre das nur eine Notlösung. Nun zurück zum eXtremeRate Backcase. Mit der Video Anleitung, die ich 2-3x Pausieren musste, war es sehr einfach meinen Kontroller um zu bauen. Alles dabei, alles passgenau und das zum für mich, guten Preis. Einziges Manko, das mitgelieferte Werkzeug ist naja sagen wir's mal so nicht gerade optimal. Daher habe ich mein iFixit Werkzeug hergenommen. Bin begeistert, dass es so gut geklappt hat. Daher 5 Sterne und für jeden der seinen Kontroller reparieren/verschönern möchte eine klare Empfehlung!

TL;DR: Klasse Produkt, die Garantie geht nur leider verloren.Ich habe mir sowohl Vorder- als auch Rückgehäuse von eXtremeRate gekauft, weil ich sehr schwitzige Hände habe und die gummierten Griffe des Elite 2 absolut nicht leiden kann - dafür aber auf die Wertigkeit des Controllers nicht verzichten wollte. Das Plastik meiner Backshell ist Soft-Touch, aber immer noch Plastik.Die Qualität stimmt, es werden auch vollständig alle Werkzeuge, Schrauben etc. (sogar inklusive Ersatz-Knöpfen, Federn und Schrauben) mitgeliefert, sollte man diese verloren haben. Auf Youtube gibt es ein englisches (!) Video, auf dem erklärt wird, wie man die Backplate der Version 1797 mit dem Toolkit austauschen kann. Das Einzige was ich empfehlen würde ist ein besseres Tool zum Aufmachen des Controllers zu verwenden, als das mitgelieferte, da es sich doch sehr stark biegt und kaum Kraft aufbringt, wenn man den Controller zum ersten Mal öffnet. Das liegt daran, dass die Controller-Innenseite mit Klebeband an der Front-Shell festgeklebt ist.Wichtig zu erwähnen: Eine der ersten Schrauben die man löst ist mit einem weißen Tip-Ex ähnlichen Klebepunkt überzogen, der vermutlich die Garantie erlischen lässt, wenn man ihn zerstört.Alles in allem bin ich super zufrieden, der Controller sieht schick aus und fühlt sich wertig an. Der Umbau war trotz 2x ansehen des Videos innerhalb von 30 Minuten von der Hand.Klasse Produkt. Würde ich 1:1 wieder kaufen. Vielen Dank!
