Freshly popped corn
This popcorn maker is perfect in every way. It has been updated so that the bowl fits right underneath the unit and is way more compact than it used to be but produces the same amount of popcorn. This one seems better made so that it won't crack like the old ones used to. And it only has the two pieces the lid and the base which make it a lot safer so that you don't burn yourself turning it over. This makes the freshest popcorn ever, and is comparable to popping it in a pan, but you don't have to shake this popcorn maker. I haven't had any burnt popcorn in this new design either. And it pops extra quick! It's very easy to use and very easy to clean you just wipe it out with a paper towel when you're done.

whoever did this redesign of a good product should be ashamed.
We have had 3 Stir Crazies, each lasting 8-10 years of constant use before they would finally give up the ghost. Therefore, when it came time to get a new one, we thought it was going to be great given our history. This was a huge disappointment. The red lid that covers the butter while it melts warped immediately. It just sits on top, sliding around, serving no real purpose since it is not possible to flip the bowl over without the butter spilling. The butter just doesn’t melt like it did with the other ones. I think that that is a function of the shape of the bowl. There is a lot of height and so perhaps not enough heat is reaching the butter. The bowl itself is very cheaply made; the plastic is significantly thinner and when you hold it the bowl itself flexes visibly. I am more careful washing this than I am with some China we inherited. A selling point was that this was going to store more compactly than the others did, but given the cord is attached it doesn’t quite meet expectations. It did make popcorn. But, so do open flames.

Westinghouse popcorn popper
It's a great popcorn popper. Keeps the kernels moving so no burnt corn. It is a bit messy if you melt butter on the top of the lid

This is the standard others should be judged by.
This is much better than the Westbend Stir Crazy. Believe the design of the rotating stirring arm causes almost all of the kernels to be popped even when not using Orville Renenbacher kernels. Have not had any burnt kernels.Bought this due to reviews and needed to replace my dead Stir Crazy popper, this didn’t disappoint. This is the standard others should be judged by.

Great popper!
It pops almost all the kernels & the butter melts evenly. Easy to clean the arm comes off for thorough cleaning.

Very good popper
I have been using it for a while now and it works great. The key is to buy good popcorn, (Amish) good oil, (Peanut or Ghee) and keep the top red cap off while popping. If you keep the cap off more steam will escape which means tender popcorn.

Stir Crazy is no longer quality.
The efficiency of completely popped kernels is not what it used to be. Using the same brand of kernels I have always used, even freshly opened, produces mediocre results. Loads of unpopped kernels left over.I discovered a timer on the heating element that cuts off way too early to allow all the kernels to pop.I will not be purchasing this brand any longer. I stayed with this brand as it was what my grandparents had always used and had fantastic results as well.Such a shame that bottom line profit greed matters more than a quality product.
