Ok, so let me start off by saying that the toys themselves are great. I got this for my son for the holidays and he loved that he could build the different Pokemon.My reasoning for the star deduction is that the box they arrived in was just a white box with a ton of writing. Since my kiddo is still learning to read, he relies on the external box to understand what is inside. So if you want them to know what’s inside, you have to print an image and stick it to the box.I will add that there is a picture inside once you open the box to assemble, but I did not know that until we opened the box for him to start building the Pokemon.

My six year old loves Legos and Pokémon so this was a great combination for him. It was a pretty good value. The colors of the pieces are bright and engaging. It is organized well with each of the characters coming in individual bags and with their own set of directions. The size is perfect to take to travel with. The age range on this could be 5-8.

I ordered the set for my 10yo specifically based on his request to get him more of these characters to build. He's gotten two or three mega blok pokeballs for the last couple years and has always had an absolute blast building them. The mega blocks poke balls are one of the first things he does after all the presents are opened Christmas Day.I chose this set in particular because you get a ton of dudes without individual ball for each character. Don't get me wrong, the balls are cute at first. But once you have a couple, they are kind of become useless and just take up space.Overall, I would say the set felt like a great value and I highly recommend it!

I bought this as a big brother gift for a 4 and 7-year-old for an expectant coworker and it was a big hit. They had it put together very quickly.
