mathematically educational blocks
I have been using these with kids for nearly 50 years and they all like them. They are proportioned in ways that make math easier. 2 of the smallest=1 of the next one up. They are great to play with and make a pleasant noise when theyfall. All the kids I have used them with like them. Also very lightweight and easy to store

Only needs a decent packing case.
Fine quality, very neat and consistent in shape and colour.The disappointment was that they come loose in a cardboard box, not in a decent packing case (like they used to, in the old days)
