These look flimsy, but they worked as well as OEM originals.

Modification Required
These clips do not fit the threaded rod that the connect the tailgate handle to. The hole is too small once the clip is closed, making it necessary to drill out the hole once the clip is closed with a 7/32 drill, and screw the closed clip onto the threaded rod before attaching it to the handle mechanism.

Does not fit, don’t waste your money
The threaded portion of this is far too small to accommodate the 1/4” rod. You will never get this product to actually latch around the rod. Poor design for the application, don’t waste your money.
