Great product for water use
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm a big fan of these for use in water. I use them for an anchor system I set up with little floats on the end of the ropes with these attached so we can hook paddle boards up to an anchor when camping. This way the boards are sitting in the water and not on the rocks. I had aluminum carabiners in the past, which worked fine too and more affordable, but the kids kept taking the whole carabiner off the rope ends. These are great because of the separate hole the rope goes through, you can't detach it from the rope, and made of stainless steel so corrosion isn't an issue. There's cheaper ones made anodized or painted steel you can buy at Home Depot, but they'll rust over time. The springs on these are pretty stiff, but not too bad, just a little more difficult for the young kids to unhook.

Never fail to close. Work all the time every time.
These clips are AWESOME. I use these on our boat and they work great! Stainless steel and with the gate being an offset wire, they never fail to close. I have some of the traditional carabiners with a traditional solid bar gate, but those sometimes fail to close if the spring gets corroded or sand gets in the hung area.

Dont drop in the water
They are good clips. I was going to use them on my jet ski as soon as I open the box they fell in the water, but just be careful. You don’t lose them in the water if you’re using them on your jet ski. Lol it was my fault but the product seems solid for the 30 seconds. I looked at it.

1 out of 3 carabiners I received is defective. The other 2 are good. Gate length on the defective carabiner is too short, so the gate does not fully seat in the notch. A little disappointed since these stainless steel carabiners are expensive. On a positive note, the other two work just fine and are already in use.
