Quality EDC tool
Superb build quality, very rugged. Good factory edge (sharp). practical and compact design. Great value and an excellent minimalist EDC tool overall. 5/5.

A great little and unusual EDC blade
A great little knife and totally unusual EDC. The fact that itโs not pointed at the end is very helpful but donโt let it fool you, it is extremely sharp at the front as well as the normal cutting edge. Small, flat, very light, easy to open and close, but locks solid I highly recommend it

Great Little Knife
I'm really a huge fan of Darriel Caston's designs and his use of materials, but I'm not ready to spend $400 on a beater knife, so this is a great alternative. Pretty much the same design as the MaximX, only smaller, and different materials. I'm glad he partnered up with CRKT to produce this more affordable version. Anyway, this little knife feels very solid and the action is really smooth, considering it's a $60 knife. It didn't come razor sharp, but it's sharp enough to open boxes and cut cardboard with ease. I'm glad I made this purchase for one of my EDC knives, and I'd buy another one if needed.

You wonโt regret this knife.
Bad A little edc as always from CRKT. Small but sturdy and came with a GREAT edge on it. No play in the hinge. Pocket clip was very tight but broke in within a month.

Lefties be wary
I will start out as, this is a great knife. Sharp, sturdy and unique design. That being said, if you are left handed, there is a possibility that the blade can open in your pocket and cut your hand, as I did...

Unique little fella
This little guy has been my EDC for the past month, so I figure it's review time. My previous EDC was a CJRB Crag, the extreme polar opposite the MinimalX. The Crag is hilariously excessive and fun to whip out whenever a knife is necessary. Before the Crag, I primarily carried either my Benchmade automatics which are more military memorabilia at this point, but still so useful...or the smallest Gerber's I could find, which I might as well have bought them in bulk because I've lost more than I care to admit for various reasons. When this knife was announced, it brought back that desire in my for a smaller framed knife. I like it. A lot. It will continue to be my EDC until something else usurps it (I've got my eyes on things, the EDC knife bug bit me bad). It's weird not having a knife with a point, like you're standard drop point or the cleaver-like Crag, but the edge is sharp enough that it really hasn't made a difference for my usage. It was as sharp as you'd expect out of the box and is holding it's edge ok. It could use a little sharpening now, but I wouldn't call it dull by any means. Primary usage has been to open boxes and mail. The front edge being sharp is a nice touch. It's small and lightweight, but heavy for its size and very sturdy, there is no flex in the body or blade whatsoever. It's like holding a small block of dense metal...which it is. It doesn't feel like a cheap knife, which is good because it's not. I never used the clip, but it was super easy to take off. This knife has such a flat profile that I can keep it in my back pocket all day long and never feel it once. I'm a fan of how the knife is opened, which takes some getting used too. It's like flicking a lighter with your index finger instead of your thumb. The action isn't smooth all the way through as it does take some pressure to get it to open and it does start to catch a bit before it locks. If you flick it hard enough every time, it's not a problem, but it will let you know if your flick was a little too weak. I have no trouble operating it with one-hand, opening or closing. Final thoughts: If you're looking for something quality, simple, elegant, unique, than this is the knife for you. It's a no frills, mature, professional piece in the palm of your hand. If you want something in your face and exciting, this isn't it. Might I suggest the Crag?

Itโs a nice blade and well built. Itโs just too small for my hand
