Not what I was looking for
I have been buying another product of smoked ham shanks at a local store. The product I was buying was out of this world, so very good in bean dishes. The store I bought them from did not have them for a long while so I went looking for something else. I found this product on Amazon and tried it. Sorry but it was awful! No good smoked or ham flavor. I tried one package and did not like it. Then I threw the second package away. So Sad.

Make great hammocks and beans
Great hammocks made my beans flavorful and no salt required they have enough. I highly recommend for anyone needing hammocks in a dish. They are easy to store and are ready when needed. They contain a lot of meat some fat not a lot lots of meat for their size.

A descent soup bone
Great in a pinch for soup when you don’t care about having much meat on the bone. There’s not as much flavor as fresh, but it still makes a good flavored broth. Price is fair. I’ll likely buy again when I’m out of bones and don’t have time to go to town. Grateful for the convenience.

It's a very tough piece of meat.
It was so tough. I cooked it at least 6 hours and it never got tender,plus it was tasteless.
