A great everyday jiu jitsu bag!
This backpack is the perfect size for packing your gi, belt, water bottle and other items for class. It’s very well made and comparable bags are usually 2 or 3 times the price. The side pockets are perfect for water battles and other items, and the front pocket is ideal for holding my wallet, phone and keys. The separate zippered compartment and internal divider for storing your gi separately when it’s dirty and dripping with sweat seemed unusual at first, but after using it several times it’s absolutely brilliant. While you could probably fit 2 lightweight gis in it, if you’re going to be routinely carrying multiple gis and additional equipment I would probably get a bigger bag, but for just carrying my gi and other items I usually take to class it’s perfect.

If you're a tech guy who does BJJ, this bag is for you
This is exactly what I was looking for! I'm a tech guy, so I was looking for a "one bag to rule them all". Concretely, I was looking for a good quality (and affordable) carry-on sized backpack where I could have (all at once): my Gi, my NoGi shorts and rash guard, some clothes to change into, AND my laptop. This backpack is super comfortable on the back and shoulders, and literally has a laptop and BJJ belt compartment. (Quick note: the belt, however, has to be rolled and not folded in order to fit properly in the designated compartment). When I go to compete, I only take this bag! I don't need anything else. On the left compartment I put my water bottle. On the right compartment, I put the finger tape, mouthguard, and the anti-inflammatory cream. Bottom compartment I put the NoGi equipment plus socks and underwear for the time I'll be away. Top compartment the Gi, the laptop, the belt, and the clothes (pants, shirts) for the time I'll be away. Front compartment, I put my passport and house/car keys. EVERYTHING fits comfortably in this backpack. Definitely recommend!

18 Months of everyday use, no problems.
I have taken it to work in the truck everyday for 18 months; carrying, at a minimum, the stuff you see. Lunchbox, IPad in an otterbox, emergency crap, two bottles of water, towel, a couple odd tools, hi-vis vest and warm undergarments, gloves, hat, and it’s not stuffed, or cumbersome. It generally will sit upright and not constantly tip over. The straps are located exactly where they should be and adjust easily. I even use it to get a minor workout in the morning when it’s fully loaded and the drag handle feels bombproof. I haven’t had one bad stitch or rip or zipper snag or any kind of damage and I don’t treat it gently. I haven’t subjected it to terrible rain but I see nothing that makes me think it’s inferior to any other everyday backpack. There’s plenty of room for whatever laptop or even an armor plate if you know how to sew in a velcro strip. And one review said the back is not padded, it is. Not super thick but it’s comfortable and my gear is protected. I took a risk buying it considering it isn’t made by a dedicated bag company but I love jiu jitsu and was looking for a pearl weave backpack and came across this. I really liked the classy, complimentary striped heather grey and black. It’s not plain but it doesn’t draw attention. And the bright yellow interior is an awesome added feature. I have not been disappointed in any way. You know how you have a few things that are just squared away… like: that’s my bag, thats my knife, I found the boots I can wear for life... This is one of those for me. And the price has proven to be an absolute steal. I hope if you buy one it works as well for you as it continues to do for me.

Solid bag for BJJ
This comes with me to the gym 4-6 days per week. All my clean stuff goes in the top and my sweaty stuff goes in the bottom once I’m done cross facing the new additions and once I’ve wiped the tears of the higher belts. I can keep a full A2L gi, gi pants, belt, spats, shorts and rashguard in the main compartment with an extra pair of boxers and a towel in one of the interior pockets. I throw some deodorant and mouthwash in the other interior pocket. The exterior pocket on the front holds my notebook, gum, phone, keys, finger nail clippers and anything else random. The side compartment holds some Sub Wipes from Golds as well. I would highly recommend them. The bag is nice and the connectors on the zippers are a huge plus. They are easy to grab and zip. Overall I’m very happy with the bag. Pick one up and enjoy!

ALMOST the perfect solution.
I included several images to help visualize any comments I have. The pack contained the items described below at the time the pictures were taken. Firstly, you will be very satisfied with this if the most you intend to ever carry to the mat is a single Gi, one or two pairs of rash-guards, a pair of shorts, your belt, some spare underwear/socks, and maybe some athletic tape. If you also train Muay-Thai or kick-boxing or something else, that additional gear may require additional storage. The main compartment has two pockets in addition to the main space, one small for your belt, and one which is the full depth of the pack and useful for your shorts or rash-guards or whatever. The main space within the backpack is more than enough room for A PROPERLY FOLDED GI and maybe a small item or two on top. The Gi must be in its tightly folded form though, if you try to stuff it in there it will work but it will not leave you ample room for anything else. That said, the primary problem with this pack is SPACE. The front pocket (the one with the Gold Bjj logo) has a nice soft lining, and is the only one unaffected by the other compartments. The two pockets on the pack's sides share the internal space of the main compartment so if the main compartment is already bursting at the seams with your gear, good luck fitting a water bottle in either of these. They sit flush with the exterior of the pack so anything in them is technically using the main compartment's space. "The bladder," as I'm going to call it, is just as odd but useful of a feature as some of the other reviewers have said. I have a picture included which shows it pulled out of the bottom of the pack where it is located, and this ALSO shares the space of the main compartment. It is not intended to carry additional gear, though it technically could, but instead it offers protection from your sweaty Gi. With the bottom pouch open, the bladder can be pushed up into the main compartment to separate your other gear from the sweat and smell of the used Gi. Clean Gi comes out the top, and after use, dirty Gi goes back in through the bottom. I have to emphasize though, the Gi needs to be especially compact and/or folded to fit into this bottom pouch. I did give 4 stars though because the look and feel are fantastic, and when used in the conditions described this is a great solution to other methods. The bladder might be my favorite feature due to its ability to prevent a sweaty or smelly Gi from contaminating anything else within the pack. Although I have yet to leave a used Gi in this pouch for more than 24 hrs and I always let it air out afterward, it has yet to retain any noticeable smell and also effectively contains the Gi's moisture. I'm very fond of the back-padding, and I especially appreciate the chest and waist buckles included on the shoulder straps. The rest of the backpack seems durable enough, and the ergonomic shape of the zippers is nice as well. Although I'm not a fan of the artificial carbon fiber look, I really like the grey canvas. I am satisfied with the price I have paid and the functionality of its features, but I think users would benefit from more space.

Grat BJJ bag
This i a fantastic back back for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. Lots of pockets for extra gear, and sweat proof liners for your gear after training. Been training for 10+ and this is the best bag I've ever had.

Great so far
Been using this for a few months. This backpack is great for Jiu Jitsu. Plenty of storage and ways to separate clean from dirty gear. Time will tell how this bag holds up with heavy use.

Not for big guys
Great bag but kinda small I wear a A4-A5 gi and nothing really fits in besides that.

Práctica, duradera y útil
Un poco voluptuosa pero muy duradera, ese impermeable por dentro para la ropa sudada, está más que bien😁👍🏻

Spacious!
I love it! It’s so spacious, it’s big enough for my gi and I can still put extra clothes, iPad and even my other pouches. Even if you put your dirty gi (for reference my gi is A0) on the bottom, you’ll still have space for the inside. Probably the best gym bag! can use it for hiking too.

Good quality!
Been using it for months now and it hasn’t shown any wear yet. Fits my GI, change of clothes, and two water bottles. Love the wet GI clothes compartment too!
