Logitech Media Keyboard 600
Excellent keyboard, with a price to certainly match. I wanted to get my dad something for Christmas which I know he would actually use, aside from the Bourne trilogy I purchased on Blu Ray 3 years ago which are STILL in their cellophane wrapping collecting dust.I wanted a keyboard similar to the one he already uses, which is described as 'Logitech Media Keyboard'. However upon looking on Amazon, and many other websites - it seems as though this has been discontinued. The old keyboard was probably around 30% larger, with nice soft rubber buttons for volume control (not the twist knob on this model). Their was also nice zoom in / out buttons for his failing eyesight. Also missing from this keyboard. All in all, the keyboard is what you would expect from Logitech. A nice, low profile device capable of doing whatever it is you need it to do. It looks nice, feels nice (although I did notice the keys were not as 'U-shaped' as the last model) and is very responsive.I would have loved to have treated him to something a little more 'media-like', as I have mentioned some things are missing / not as profound as the last model, but then again the prices seem to go up like the price of petrol. If you want something that is cheap and cheerful, order now you will not be disappointed. If you want that little bit extra, I'd advise you to hold out and save. Even then though, a tenner for a keyboard that could very well last a year or more is not to be sniffed at.

Good sturdy keyboard
Bought this keyboard mainly because I was looking for a keyboard with hotkeys, instead of just a basic one. You need to install the driver that comes with the keyboard to get the hotkeys to work with your computer but it only takes a minute and now everything works perfectly. The keys are lovely and quiet which is great for heavy-handed typists like me! The volume dial is brilliant as my speakers are hooked up to my hi-fi and having to constantly change the volume on the hi-fi itself was getting to be a pain. If you have speakers with a dial then I don't think it would be much of a benefit but it certainly helps with my current set-up.The only thing I would say is that it's a rather flat keyboard compared to many others I've used, even when it's propped up on the feet underneath, but every keyboard is different and it's not really that difficult to get used to.Overall it's quiet, sturdy, and easy to use.

Logitech Media Keyboard 600.
I can't comment on this really yet, as although I have had the product for some time, I have not actually used it! This is partly because I bought a Belkin Riser at the same time and it made the laptop's keyboard more comfortable. The point in buying a separate keyboard was to enable me to place the screen of the laptop further away and have it at the correct height, using the Belkin Riser (which is excellent). I will try the keyboard out and post an opinion re it's comfort etc within the next month or so. I am aware my opinion may help others, this will nudge me into setting it up! (I always read other's opinions/reviews before purchasing a product, they can be a huge help)

Still working fine after 5 years
Bought this keyboard back in 2013 and still working fine. Nothing particularly flashy or special about it so does not go beyond expectations (hence not 5-Stars) but nothing to complain about in terms of use or functionality.Keyboard layout makes sense and is easy to get used to. Volume wheel is a nice addition to give both very quick and modulated volume control as opposed to buttons which can either only do one or the other. Mute button could do with being somewhat bigger though.

Another great item from Logitech - thoroughly recommended!
I have just purchased a Logitech 'MX400 Performance Laser Mouse' (see my review) and was recommended to get a new Logitech 'Media Keyboard 600' to go with it. I'm glad that I followed the recommendation as I'm now enjoying both new mouse and new keyboard, they being a great advance on what I had previously. So far as the keyboard is concerned, features additional to what I had before are a great bonus. I can now 'play' with my iTunes library from my keyboard, alter the sound volume, and switch to 'mute' when the 'phone rings much easier. In addition, I can open up my E-mail system without clicking on it. I suppose that there is more that will come to me in due course. The keyboard has certainly got all of the attributes that I think I want, but its most attractive features are its design and excellent handling - typically good from Logitech - and its smart black stylishness: the thing looks very good on my desk and makes a very pleasant change from the old-style and once-ubiquitous 'computer cream'!

Great apart from function buttons
I love it for the most part but not all of the function buttons work. Like the microsoft word and microsoft excel buttons, I can't seem to make those work. Also any button where you have set the option to open a specific webpage (and therefore also the 'internet search' button) don't work. The calculator button works though. Yay. XDThe regular normal kwyboard buttons all work fine of course, so it does the job. Just a shame that the functionallity is a little limited.

not as described, no USB expansion connection
The product description says:Expansion / Connectivity * Connections: 1 x USB - 4 PIN USB Type Aand says elsewhere what the keyboard to computer connection is.There is no USB expansion port and I ordered it because of the Iogitech brand and the expansion port. i am sure Amazon would take it back, but I urgently need a keyboard and don't have the time to go through the returns process so I am keeping it. I have to say its no better than keyboards that are a lot cheaper.Either Amazon or Logitech have made an error or at best the description is misleading. For me getting the web description right and understandable is important. I don't want to spend my time on returns because of clerical errors, no matter how good the returns policy is.
