Tastes like a chocolate milkshake, not beef!
I was skeptical about beef protein, but this is a game-changer. The chocolate flavor is incredibly rich. I love that it is minimal ingredients and is completely dairy-free. I had to cut dairy out while breastfeeding and this helped me tremendously to get enough protein in. It mixes pretty well but if you don’t drink it right away it gets really thick although this was great for making a pudding out of it. This has become a favorite of mine and continue to buy it!

Quality ingredients that actually taste good
I've been using Equip protein for over a year now and it's HANDS DOWN my favorite. I'm a functional nutritionist and I'm really picky when it comes to ingredients in protein powders but I feel comfortable recommending this protein to all of my clients. Beef protein isolate is superior in my opinion! It's a complete protein, easy for the body to digest and absorb, and is perfect for people who don't tolerate whey/dairy. I'm not a fan of pea proteins because the body doesn't use them as well and they often test high for heavy metals (plus they are really chalky tasting). Equip third party tests their products for heavy metals so you know they're high quality. The iced coffee and salted caramel are my favorite flavors but I also regularly buy the chocolate and vanilla. The vanilla flavor does have a strong stevia taste, so if you don't like that I would recommend trying the others. The cinnamon roll flavor is also REALLY good in coffee and pancakes and doesn't have any stevia in it. I will say that it doesn't dissolve that easily into cool/cold liquids but it's because it doesn't have added junk. You'll be hard pressed to find a protein powder with truly clean ingredients that actually mixes well so if anything, that's a green flag for me. Add it to warm liquids, blend it into shakes, or use an immersion blender to mix it into cool liquids and it works perfectly.

Great flavor and clean ingredients!
I tried the Equip Prime Protein in the coffee flavor and loved it! I mixed it with coconut milk, and it was creamy, smooth, and easy to mix—perfect for on the go. The coffee flavor is spot on and gives that cozy coffee vibe without the caffeine or sugar crash afterward. I also love that it’s made from real food ingredients and is free from dairy, gluten, and preservatives, with 0g of sugar. It’s become my go-to afternoon pick-me-up when I need something quick, nourishing, and satisfying.

Pricey, and doesn't mix well with cold
I wish it didnt clump so much, bc i love my iced coffee and can't do that bc the coldness clumps. But the flavor is good. Just makes the texture hard to get past, and it's not super thick, it is kind of pricey... need to figure out a way to mix better.

Taste like plastic
First of all the product came to me damaged. There was a hole in the bottom of the bag and protein powder all over the shipping bag. Amazon refused to refund or replace my item. Second, this coffee flavor tasted like I was inhaling plastic. I can’t even drink it. What a waste of 67 bucks. I don’t know if the taste of plastic is the actual flavor of the product or because the bag had a hole in it. But it definitely doesn’t taste like coffee..

Clean and Tasty Protein That Actually Feels Good
Prime Protein by Equip is one of the cleanest powders I’ve found — just real, grass-fed beef protein with no weird additives. The coffee flavor tastes great, mixes easily, and keeps me full for hours without any bloating. It’s perfect for shakes or baking. A bit pricey, but totally worth it for the quality.

Flavor-Dependent Reaction
I’ve made major changes in my life over the last few years—mentally, spiritually, and with my health—so I pay very close attention to how my body reacts to food. Getting straight to the point: the Chocolate flavor was great. It’s the first protein powder I’ve ever been able to mix with straight water and drink on an empty stomach with zero nausea or side effects. Most protein powders make me feel sick when taken that way, even if I don’t actually throw up. This one didn’t. Because of that, I decided to try the Iced Coffee flavor. Important context: I completely removed caffeine from my diet years ago (it took a long time), though I still enjoy the taste of coffee. Unfortunately, the nausea came right back with the coffee flavor. Same protein, same water, same timing—different reaction. The only meaningful difference I can trace it to is the natural flavors / coffee flavoring. The frustrating part is that companies can hide a lot under the term “natural flavors,” and in my experience, many of those ingredients are anything but natural. When I mix it with milk instead of water, the reaction is less intense, but it’s still there. I’m not saying this is a bad product overall. The Chocolate flavor worked extremely well for me, and I plan to try it again to confirm consistency. I’ll be avoiding the coffee flavor going forward. If you’ve cleaned up your diet and are sensitive to additives, pay attention to how your body responds. Tracking these details matters. Stay healthy.

Almost undrinkable beefy flavour
I really wanted to like this product but just can’t get past the taste. It tastes like beef and not in a good way. Ive been trying to force myself to drink it but end up having to throw out the shake each time after a few sips. I tried two flavours coffee and salted caramel, both will probably go into the trash tomorrow. I don’t understand how there are so many good reviews. Edit: I originally never contacted the seller for a refund or anything. But after leaving this review they reached out and offered to send me different flavours or give me a refund. I appreciate that they made the effort, they seem like a solid company and their products do seem like they are high quality. Just for me personally I couldn’t get over the taste.
