Motor burnt out on third use
So I bought this hedge trimmer and like so many purchased based on a feature / price basis. The idea that a 700 Watt machine from one manufacturer would be the same as a similar powered one from another. I think we often do this. Occasionally you can get great deals with this methodology but alas not the case here. I used it a couple of times and stored it in my shed then brought it out a couple of days ago and the motor burned out. I checked the fuse in the plug and changed it but no - there was that burnt smell from the motor. Fortunately it was still under warranty but lesson learned - I think my next one will be a German-made one as these seem to last longer.

Best Trimmer made For the Price
This Trimmer is much better than I expected when ordered. It was easier to handle & lighter than it looks. Doubt you can find anything better for the price.

Safety switch could be better positioned
Very good hedge cutter, Design could be improved. One safety switch is on the front handle which is typically used for lifting or moving the machine around. It would be better, and safer if it was a switch on top of the main handle that would activated by a thumb. Otherwise good value for the price.
