American Vampire TP Vol 8

The Gray Trader: not the first vampire, but something far worse. As Pearl, Felicia and their teams try to stop the takeover of the Earth, they must also fight an enemy within, who will not stop until the world descends into darkness. The climactic nature of this high stakes adventure changes reader's perceptions of the protagonists as Snyder throws a new wrench into this compelling narrative. The story flows well thanks to the exciting visuals and the use of shading helps ramp up the tension.

Another great instalment in the American Vampire series. Skinner and Pearl up to their antics as usual. Brilliant reading. Recommended.

The last book set up one of the most intriguing and deadly threats encountered so far. This book runs with it. It’s the 1960’s and that means outer space and nuclear bombs. Both of which are effortlessly folded into the story in a way you couldn’t imagine. The sense of jeopardy has never been greater either and you are really worried at how many, if any, of the characters will survive. Albuquerque is with us through the whole book and is on top form. Lots of drama in the action scenes and a brooding matt palette throughout. Double Thumbs Up!

I was not really convinced by this outing, the story seems a bit all over the place and the artwork is not up to the usual standard, it all seems a bit rushed to me. The bright, matt-sealed cover is probably the best aspect of the book, which at 144 pages is decidedly lightweight. Overall, I feel ever so slightly cheated by this one. It won't stop me from buying the next in the series, though, as Pearl Jones is a character worth sticking with, I will say, however, there is a good twist at the end of the tale.

Simply phenomenal story , artwork . Cannot highlight this volume of graphic novels enough , one of thee best stories put down in graphic novel format ... a new refreshing take on VAMPIRES

This story is still saturated with thrill but i starting to feel the absence of some of the secondary characters

This book continues with the saga of the American Vampire. I have enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next volume!

It's sad that the ending point of this saga goes so bad. The story looks rushed, the turning points don't make any sense, some characters were completely changed. It feels like they had a great villain, opportunity, mythology and group of characters and opted for ending a great saga with an exaggerated generic action story that should have a lot of explosions and make a lot of noise even when that would only spoil the story.
