Increase the power
For years I have used a hand blender, the last one was a Braun. This was a very good blender that came with a complete set of accessories, but I often was short on power when doing something basic like blending a soup or making a batter. This Cuisinart blender has double the power of most hand blenders and you notice the difference! It works really wel and we use it almost daily. We have a baby and we use that blender and its accessories very often. As mentioned in another review the chopper accessory is not well designed. My Braun had a screw-top and it never leaked, with the Cuisinart it doesn't. Have not had any leaks yet, but I can see the design difference. This is not enough to no like this hand blender. You will not be disappointed, it is a well-build blender with all the necessary accessories to blitz, chop, mix, etc. Also like the fact it is not made of plastic.

Ok for the money, but not a professional machine
It was fine, but it was a bit of a fluff having to first freeze the ice cream churn bucket each time before you use it. It also didn't state that you have to wisk up the cream mix quite thick before adding it to the churn bucket before trying to turn it into ice cream. The idea that it allows you to make ice cream as soon as you unbox it is not possible. Having now used it and its cost is less than £200 its not bad, if maybe a bit basic for what it does. If you can afford it go for the more expensive professional machines to get the real thing. Otherwise it will make ice cream but it is not such a quick fix for doing so

Excellent
Bought this as a present for my wife. Great bit of kit and much better than the last one that I bought her, which ended up in the bin. Highly recommend

DISSAPOINTED
I cant even give it 0 stars if i could i would, me and my kids were looking forward to trying this but i wish i never wasted the money. Followed all the rules, froze the tub for 24 hours until i couldnt hear in swooshing of the liquid, i chilled the ice cream mix for 24 hours too. I bought the recommended one aswell and all i have is liquid. Done the timer checked it liquid, waited up to 30 mins still liquid and guess what its now been over an hour 30 mins still liquid and not only that the cleanup is horrendous, the toppings dont cone out right and the machine practically doesnt work. The liquid spurts out an angle too so this has been a horrid experience Cant return it and cant get money back. No one buy this. Mine is now going in the bin and im getting the ninja creami scoop and swirl.

Does what it says, far better value than more expensive models
What a brilliant addition to my kitchen. The ice cream it produces is soft and silky smooth. This ice cream maker has a small footprint, looks good, and is so easy to use and clean. It does exactly what it should and we love the little dispensers for decorating the ice cream. Excellent value for money. Had considered other more expensive options but this one ticks all the boxes for half the price.

Great product for the price
Easy to use with simple instructions. Easy to clean and one 500g portion of ice cream mix is enough to make into 8 cones. Sprinkle compartments are a nice touch but they do seem to go everywhere when dispensed.

Works for gifting
Arrived intact and on time.Bought as a gift for my daughter. She did say it was a little over priced for what you get.

Wife n Kids love it, me....not so much!
This could be fabulous if the window of use was wider. You pop the tub in the freezer for 24 hours before use, but when you use it only freezes the mix for a short period that generally isn't quite long enough to freeze the ice cream enough and you really need to time it right......for me it's too sloppy, but the wife and kids love it!

Lovely!
This Cuisinart is the perfect size for a home of 2 people. If you eat normal portions rather than super-sized ones, then I’d say that it is enough for 4 people. I selected this machine for the small footprint, and to make small batches of fresh, healthier ice creams and custards. It does take planning ahead: the bowl must be frozen a day ahead of time, and your mixture chilled, as well. The bowl has to sit flat while it is freezing. Do take time to read the directions before you use this; your mixture needs to be added through the opening while the machine is running. The opening isn’t very large, so chill your mixture in something that has a spout. I have read reviews on various sites and it seems like a big error that is made is to put the mixture directly into the frozen bowl separately rather than while the machine runs. If you do that, then you end up with a frozen concoction on the sides and it restricts the paddle from mixing it, so that the middle doesn’t freeze up. So far we’ve made such fun flavors: maple custard (using real maple syrup) and basil ice cream have been my favorites. A suggestion is to have some freezer containers ready for storing your finished desserts. We are getting a routine down where the finished dessert goes into a container in the freezer, and we immediately clean the bowl for this machine and get that right back into the freezer too, so that it is always ready to use. I hope that this helps with your decision. Do let me know, and happy shopping!

Pretty fun. Best bang for the buck
The bowl definitely needs to be at least - 18 degrees to work. But when prepared properly, it does work. Pretty excited to try out different recipes. So far so good. Can't complain much for a $50 ice cream machine.

fonctionne bien

Good little ice cream maker, very simple to clean and use.
This ice cream maker works great, makes ice cream in about 20 minutes but the portion is a bit small. If its for one person, then I think the portion would be just fine but you may have to make several batches if for more than one. I used this often when we first got it and it made really good tasting ice cream, much better than store bought, since I knew what the ingredients were and there were only a couple. As long as any toppings you want to add are broken into small pieces, they will mix in just fine. I keep my base in the freezer for a quick go to when I want something cold and refreshing.
