Wonderful, Non Greasy Moisture!
I've never used Carrot Seed Oil before but I'm very happy I bought this! When I opened the bottle and applied the oil onto the back of my hand, I noticed a slight earthy scent, I actually like the scent and it doesn't hang around so no problem there. The skin on the back of my hand felt butter soft and moisturized. I had to use it before bed to see how my face felt in the morning, all I can say if Wow! My skin felt so soft and smooth and moisturized. Usually no matter what oil I use at night I'm a bit dry in the morning, not with this oil! I will definitely purchase this oil again! Seems to be great quality.

Amazing product!
I tried some expensive and fancy carrot seed oil from a specialty essential oils company in Canada. Then, I found this at Amazon for much less. It is a much better product, in that it moisturizes just as well if not better, doesn't have the odor the fancy stuff had, and is much cheaper so I can use as much of it as I want. I have put it in everything I use on my skin and hair (lotion, shampoo, body wash, liquid hand soap), and it has done wonders for me, with no ill effects. I am allergic to so many things, so I have to be very careful about the products I use, but this has been the best skin and hair moisturizer/conditioner I have ever found. It even works better than pure hyaluronic acid. My skin and hair are softer than they have ever been, even when I tried expensive moisturizers]ing products. Please do yourself a favor and buy some of this to try. I promise you won't be disappointed. Your skin and hair will thank you for it.

Good for malassezia
good quality squalane, moisturizing, soaks in quickly. I wrestle with malassezia (a stupid fungal thing, sort of like dandruff, but causes a gross looking rash) on my back. I put this in a spray bottle and use it on my back every day when I get out of the shower, while my skin is still moist -- as a kind of barrier protection. It doesn't "feed" malassezia and it has kept it looking and feeling much better.

THE FACTS AS OPPOSED TO CONJECTURE, GUESSWORK ETC.
I only received the oil yesterday (which by the way smells absolutely delicious) so cannot speak to whether it suits or will benefit me personally. However, after reading some of the reviews I went on a fact finding mission which I wish everyone would do before posting questions and, even worse, replying with wrong information. WHAT IS CARROT SEED OIL? - This oil is NOT from domesticated carrots. Has anyone even seen carrot seeds much less imagine how oil could be extracted from them? Carrot "oil" is a vegetable oil made from carrots. Yes! the kind we eat. It is made from a mixture of crushed carrot roots immersed in a carrier oil (olive, coconut oil etc.). It is NOT an essential oil. The company has clearly shown the scientific name of Carrot Seed Oil which is Daucus carota. A litte research and a lot less guessing show that both domestic and wild carrot are from the Daucus carota L, also called Wild Carrot, European Wild Carrot, Bird's Nest, Bishop's Lace, and Queen Anne's lace. (The last name said to be because the flower resembles lace, prominent in fine clothing of Queen Anne's day; the red flower in the center is said to represent a droplet of blood where she pricked herself with a needle when she was making the lace). Introduced to North America from Europe as a medicinal herb it is the ancestor of the cultivated carrot, edible when young, but the root rapidly grows woody and fibrous with age. BENEFITS: Scientific studies have shown that Carrot Seed Oil is effective at combating several strains of bacteria (may help relieve eczema), has some degree of effectiveness against yeasts such as Candida albicans and Aspergillus, has anti-inflammatory properties, and might be beneficial in cosmetics as a rejuvenator for aging skin.It also may be beneficial for hard-to-treat infections and for wound care. (From Healthline) CAUTION 1 - It shouldn't be ingested and should always be diluted with a carrier oil prior to using it on your skin. CAUTION 2 -To be noted is that Carrot Seed essential oil contains a compound called umbelliferone, or 7-hydroxycoumarin that absorbs UVB light and is commonly used in sunscreens. HOWEVER, there’s no evidence that carrot seed oil is safe to use alone as a sunscreen. While it might block UVB light, no evidence shows that it can stop sunburns or sun damage, or protect against skin cancer. And there is more both on the pro and con side. Please do your research. The National Library of Medicine shows the scientific studies.

Love the scent, but overpriced and customer service seems nonexistant
I had used this for several months because I find the scent to be wonderful. Unfortunately, I noticed no improvement in my skin while using it. I do find that the product is overpriced, especially without a certified organic seal. Another issue is that the customer service seems nonexistent. Over the last month I had called the number on the bottle and emailed requesting the country of origin of the carrot seeds used to make this oil. Still no response. I recently started using another brand where the seeds used to make the oil are sourced from Poland. The scent of the other brand is not as appealing as Allurals, but I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin after using the other brand, so I am happy with the way things worked out. I may purchase Allurals brand again at some time in the future, but only because I miss the scent.
