Great joint supplement
This has made a tremendous difference in my two senior dogs. Recommended by my vet as an alternative the another joint medicine.

Super dog!
This really does work. I have a weenie dog who is fit, eleven years old, but has had some inflammation in the lower back. Within a week of taking it twice a day, he was moving better. The vet said, "It's either going to work or not, so why not try it?" Glad I did and so is my dachshund. 😀

So thankful that this works!
Update: it's been 4 months since my initial review and I'm happy to report that my dog no longer limps at all. I can tell he still has a bit of pain when leaning heavily on his leg as he has to adjust its position or it shakes a little, but overall he is doing amazing. He runs around like a puppy and, even when he's been resting for a long time at night, he has no limp when he gets up. We take nice, long walks in the morning and he's started to show more interest in toys and play again. It did take longer than the month or 6 weeks that they say will show "maximum results." I'd say it took us more like 4 months or so. I'm glad we didn't give up too soon!Hopefully this will be a helpful review for anyone who has a similar situation with their pup. Our dog absolutely hates going to the vet. He has to be on a sedative for every vist, and, even then, he still shakes and whines and has to have both my husband and I there to navigate everything. It's a big deal to go to the vet, and so we can't put our dog on an injections or meds that require frequent appointments. When our dog started limping on his front leg, I tried several recommended supplements and chews to help. But nothing really did and the limp got worse within a couple weeks. We did finally go to the vet and were able to get our dog on daily Gabapentin to help with the pain when our vet thought he was experiencing chronic inflammation. Thankfully, Gabapentin doesn't require frequent vet visits, but we realized quickly that he needed something more to deal with the inflammation. After reading about Antinol and the studies showing its effectiveness at combating inflammation, I decided to give it a try. We are now about 35 days into giving it to our dog every day, and the results have been AMAZING. Not only is our dog ridiculously soft and his coat super shiny from the Omega-3, but he's showing signs of much less pain. He's able to walk with me every morning for about 45 minutes, he runs around and plays with toys like he hadn't done in awhile. He still has a bit of a limp when getting up from resting at night, but it quickly goes away as he walks. I'm SO relieved that Antinol is helping him so much. At 8 years old, he should still have several happy years ahead of him.

Prevent dog hip issues
I changed vendors and this one came in a smaller box that actually wasn't squeezed into our cluster mailbox. As far as the product, our dog has had no more hip issues, but not sure if it's the product or not. She gets two pills within a tab of peanut butter on the end of my finger to prevent spitting it back out. Note: we live in AZ with high temps. This product doesn't do well in a cluster metal mailbox; last order came all stuck together. Luckily, we get advanced delivery notices.

Great mobility supplement for dogs!!
Definitely recommend this product for mobility issues in dogs. It was a slow start, but we definitely feel this supplement is helping our 4 year old lab-whippet mix who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at a year old.She is still a young active dog, but we had noticed she was moving around less because of pain when she was too active. After adding this product we have seen that she can do those mile walks again without being in pain for 2 days after.A couple of notes:* we had to do a ramp up of supplement because our pup is so sensitive to new things. If you have a similar situation, so be put off by tge recommendation of starting with the higher dosage right away. You can do slow buildup instead, just be aware you might nit see instantaneous results. For us they were slower.* we noticed a weight increase after taking the supplement. This is likely from the fish oil (omega-3), as we dealt with similar issues with other dogs. We just reduced the amount of food we give our pup by about 1/4cup a day, as well as being consistent about regular walks.* plan ahead for having enough of the supplement on hand, as you go through the bottle quickly when you have larger dog. The one time we had to reduce down for a few days we could see that mobility was harder. It's very important to stay consistent.* this product can be taken with other joint supplements. Just make sure to review with your vet what the best treatment plan for you dog is.

Excellent product, but it seems much too expensive!
I believe this is a very good product in general, and has helped out dog, but it seems to be very expensive for a few grams of a food item! Krill is abundant in the oceans, and mussel oil, from mussels, is surely cheap. But at fifty dollars, all I can say is that surely there is an opportunity for someone else to create a similar product for far less. The Actinol producers were helpful, however, when my veterinarian contacted them concerning problems with ingestion, as another dog leaped up, got the bottle, opened it and ate almost all of them! It's a food item, just watch them for stomach issues, etc, was the suggestion. Not a problem. Our dogs are fairly large---a little extra "food" will likely not harm them, although there are cautionary remarks. The item came overnight, delivered between 4AM and 8AM, so that was something! Without the expense, it's a five star item.
