Cherub WST-550G Guitar Mate Clip On Tuner - Easy to use!

I thought I would try this cheaper tuner in view of the good reviews. I had used it about 7 times and found it easy to use, with excellent results. The next use, however, was not quite as successful in that I experienced the type of situation described by the 1* reviewer (5* vs 1* comparison), where it is failing to recognize the appropriate string for tuning. I wondered if battery life might be an issue but decided to turn it off and try again a bit later. It then worked alright, so it's too soon to say whether it was just an isolated incident or something else. I've, therefore, held back a bit and given it 3 stars, rather than the 5 stars I would have awarded if I had reviewed earlier. Three months on, I've had no repeat of above and all is good. I have upped rating to 4* and left above comments in case they are helpful to anyone else experiencing a similar 'hiccup'.

clips on to the headstock, can tune well even with surrounding noise so i guess vibrations are used (?) so works great in a noisy enviroment or with the tv on or whatever.tunes accurately for all 6 strings but obviously you cant do alternate tuningsportable, fits in the palm of my hand, pocket whatever its just great essential for any guitar player and is obviously very cheap too

It's an ok tuner but sometimes it has trouble getting some tuning correct, for the price it's alright but no where near the best.

Clip on tuners are really handy and great for making sure you're in tune in noisy environments. I find this one easy to use and accurate. Perfect indoors but it can be hard to see in bright sunlight so tricky to use if you're playing outside.**UPDATE**Having used this tuner for a while I thought I'd post an update. It works OK but it does sometimes struggle to recognise the string. When this happens you have to turn it off and on again which is a pain when gigging. The biggest problem though is that it has lost some of it's grip so it doesn't stay where you can see it - even more of a pain when gigging!

The tuner is small and light. This gives reason to believe it is cheap and nasty. Wrong! It's really good,and I would recommend it. How long it will last is yet to be seen but for the money I'm glad I have decided to buy it. I use it with a classical and steel accustic.

This is a good 'bit of kit'. It does work well but is more fiddly when tuning some notes than others. Some notes take a bit of perseverance, however the bottom line is I am still pleased I bought this and overall am happy with the purchase.

This little thing is absolutely amazing. Its so small and compact, and so very easy to use. But mostly, its so very accurate.. I have so far only used this to tune my two strata, but Wow - I never new how good they sounded until I bought this lovely little Tuner.I will be buying more in future when needed, and I am certainly going to reccomend them to my other guitaring friends.My advice?... Buy one!

Excellent piece of equipment, I'm just Just learning guitar and find the tuner essential and easy to use. I did try a couple of phone app tuners but found them awkward to use. Quick delivery of item.
