Diamond of California In-Shell Mixed Nuts, 16.0 oz. Bag

I started buying these Diamond of California In-Shell Mixed Nuts for my backyard squirrels and honestly, they are a huge hit! The bag is generously sized at 16 oz and packed with a nice variety of nuts — the squirrels go absolutely crazy for them and come back every single day looking for more. The quality is really impressive. The shells are intact and the nuts inside are fresh and full — not shriveled or stale like some other brands I've tried. The mix has a great variety which keeps things interesting for my little furry visitors! What really won me over is the price. For a 16 oz bag of quality in-shell mixed nuts, this is an excellent deal. I've checked other options and nothing comes close to this value. I buy them regularly and stock up whenever I can. Whether you're snacking yourself or treating the wildlife in your backyard like I do, these nuts are a fantastic buy. Highly recommend!

These arrived today and the product is great, but I think it’s important to note that Brazil nuts are advertised, however not included in this blend. I didn’t need them, so it was fine but if you are wanting them, look for a different option.

My squirrels love these. Good mix of nuts. I can’t say if they are good or fresh because they’re not for me to eat, but, they have a good appearance. Price seems reasonable.

Almost half of the almonds were missing some shell which made them stale & dried up. Some of the hazelnuts were dried & shriveled up too, but to be fair, there was no way to tell until shelled. The walnuts & pecans were good but there were only 2 token brazil nuts in the whole bag. Unbelievable. I will buy these again because the price was good & I seriously doubt I will find better without paying an arm & a leg.

I don't eat these - but they don't last long at my house! To be honest, I don't eat these. I feed them to my squirrels. They must be great though, because the squirrels come to my back door waiting. One has even scratched on the door a couple of times. These are a better price than I can buy at a grocery store. I'm happy. The squirrels are happy. I think I heard my neighbors cursing a bit though because of all the shells in their yards.

Gave as part of gift baskets. Also kept one. Hubby ate the bag in one night, and wanted more. Excellent nuts!

The freshness date on the package was October 2027, but many of the nuts were not of even average quality. Some were very soft, mostly the hazel nuts though some of the almonds were soft too, and some of the hazel nuts were shriveled up. A number of the almond shells were dark brown with part of the shell at the mid-line gone, as if it had decomposed prior to picking and processing. The Brazilian nuts seemed generally okay, which was surprising because those are usually to poorest quality on mixed nuts in the shell in my experience. The pecans were fine. The walnuts were mostly fine with just a few that were partially shriveled. I ate the good half of those few and the good half tasted fine. Overall, I was disappointed. My local grocery store carried the same brand during the holidays and those were much better quality. I would have put them at four stars. I realized it's two months later but again, the freshness date on the package was October 2027. I will say I have only tried this one bag. I wouldn't be surprised if something organic like nuts has a wide range of quality so I may try another bag to see if I get similar results.
