Not quite my expectations
Skimmed through, I was expecting smaller text for more information. Not a lot of maps. The content seemed interesting so I will not return this and get value out of it. But at first glance, a little disappointed with overall quality.

Wealth of excellent knowledge!
This book is exactly what I have been looking for since I am visiting all but one of these cities. This book gives the top restaurants, top hotels, top bars, top clubs, websites with maps of the airports, metro stations, train stations, and the cities. It even gives you advice on what transportation to use especially if your traveling on a budget. I highly recommend this book. I'm bringing it with me because there is just so much useful information I can't take pictures or write it all down. Definitely buy it. My only regret is that I didn't buy the kindle version because obviously it would be one less thing to pack.

Fooled by the 2017 publication date
This book is self published and it shows. There is a certain charm to the way 400 years of history is summed up in one sentence saying something like "somehow the city regained its spirit in 1808" or the goofy discussion of Icelandic drinking water (I think it's safe but smells like sulfur?) but the gaps in reliable info mean I will be buying another book--published in 2015 by rick steves.
