Very pleased with this purchase. Was looking at different boards, and was a little hesitant to get a folding one, but saw this one on sale for $25 and change, saw that it has favorable reviews, and decided to take the plunge. So glad I did! Board has a nice finish, piece storage is nice with the foam cutouts, and the board lays flat when opened up. The pieces themselves are not heavy, but aren't what I would consider lightweight either, they're a good balance. The magnets hold them well to the board and the style and finish are nice also.Purchased this to teach my daughter how to play, and this really is ideal. Board is big enough to allow her to move the pieces without easily knocking into others, but the magnets hold well enough when she does. Price to value ratio is great in my opinion. I didn't have to spend a bunch to have a nice quality chess set that will hopefully give a great return on investment with the memories made! Definitely recommended.

I was totally stunned. I searched for a magnetic chess board for our pontoon. Finally decided on this inexpensive option because it had a large board and a price under $30. NOTE: The quality of this chess set was well beyond my expectations. With this pre-tariff pricing, I can't imagine better buy. The details of the board are great. The pieces are simple in design and very effective. The "black" has a beautiful finish. The white is white. I'm very happy to recommend this magnetic set to anyone looking for one.

This set is really beautiful! I am a Program Coordinator for children, teaching some of them the game of Chess, where others have arrived already, Chess experts. Everyone was really impressed with the set. The pieces are beautifully crafted and the magnets work well. The price point fantastic! This would also be a wonderful gift idea.

Compact but lodge enough to enjoy playing on love the foam where all the pieces are held together, so they don’t get damaged at all when in storage. Also simple instructions on how to start for beginners of which I did buy it for my nine year-old granddaughter. The price is very good and I think all that are trying to teach their kids how to play that’s a perfect set to play on, especially if you wish to travel with it.

My nephew just started playing chess and I wanted to get him a quality set that could travel with him but didn't look cheap or wasn't durable. I was impressed with this. Set. The quality, the size and the durability of the pieces as well as the board is excellent. I also love that the pieces go into designated slots keeping them snug so they're not rolling around and getting damaged.My nephew loved the set and it is so nice that it could be used in a variety of settings. It looks very sleek and pretty!
