It works as advertised!!
I am so glad that I ordered these emergency radios. They are perfect for use in any emergency. The main thing that induced me to order was the fact it would charge your cellphone. We all rely on our phones for everything these days. It charges using crank, sunlight or batteries!! I have never seen anything like it! It has too many features to list, but some are: Loud alarm with bright flashing red light, flashlight, reading light, radio with am, fm and weather stations.I ordered four of these for my loved ones, to keep them safe, and it relieves my mind. Here in Arizona many people hike in our Beautiful mountains and now can get help easily. If our lights go out, we will have light and be able to call for help if necessary.

Does All It Says But Has a Few Minor Issues
Had this for a month now and use it daily while in my garage exercising.Positives - Unit comes fully charged so I could test everything right out of the box. All of the unit's radio functions work well - NOAA, FM and AM all come in very clear and are easy to hear. Flashlight, SOS and reading light all work well. I put in AAA batteries - again, everything works as advertised. I HAVE NOT used this unit to charge a cell phone so cannot speak about it's function. I've recharged the radio and had no issues in regards to holding the handle or the radio. I don't try to turn it as fast as possible but maintain a steady speed while turning. The guide says 1 minute of charge equals 10 minutes of radio and that's about right.Negatives - the radio dials are small and the tuning dial is very sensitive - perhaps in an area with fewer radio stations available, it wouldn't be as much of an issue but where I live, the radio stations seem to be right next to each other and it is sometimes difficult to get the exact one I want. I just take my time and tune s-l-o-w-l-y.When the radio arrived, there was a chemical smell which I associated with the green rubberized case. I keep the radio in my garage on a shelf and as time has passed, the smell has lessened but not fully dissipated. Don't know if the smell would transfer if the radio was put in a backpack or other closed container. The smell isn't a deal breaker for me but something a buyer needs to be aware of.This is a good little radio that I'm glad I bought. In hindsight, it may have been a good idea to spend the extra money and buy the unit with shortwave listening capabilities as well.

Perfect - would order it again (probably will get a 2nd one)
Works as advertised (maybe better). Easy to tune (assuming the tuner in the receiver is well designed). The volume knob doubles as the on/off switch. The function switch as Weather Band (WB), Frequency Modulation (FM) and Amplitude Modulation (AM). Does not carry too much static (unless you are like in AM and cranking the generator). There is a charging mode on the bottom specifically designed to charge cell phones or other usb accessories. The radio arrived fully charged with its LION battery. It can take 6 double A batteries (AA). Has fairly decent sound for its size. When you lift the solar panel up, there are 4 small (but bright) LED's on the back side used for reading lights. Lifting the panel has more to do with using the LED's than it does with positioning towards sunlight to charge. Has a small telescoping antenna on the right side that can be swiveled and pointed in the best direction. We find we do need to use the antenna (out in the country). The antenna feels like its a tad too loose but it works just fine. There are TWO things I do not like about this radio. 1) The SOS signal option (completely useless IMO). Its just a loud siren and it flashes a RED led while it is alarming. Just loud enough to be completely annoying but not quite loud enough to do anything but get laughed at, should anyone actually ever be able to hear it. Probably more of a selling point (marketing) than any real-life usage. AND 2) The function switch on the bottom of the Radio (for SOS, normal mode and cell charging mode) does not seat well in position. Its a slide switch which is tough to determine what position its actually in (except the annoying sos mode, that 1 is obviously easy to figure out).
