Can this be used to water proof a leak on existing shower tile?

No. This product is for waterproofing the substrate behind the tile. You may need to peel off the tile to get to the substrate. But it seems you need to find the source of the leak first then use this product as part of the repair.

I used the mesh tape for Durock and went over all joints with the mortar mix I planned to use installing my tiles. Let the mortar dry completely. Then, just follow the directions on the bucket. I tackled a shower surround with two large niches for my first tile job. This bucket was plenty for two coats on everything as well as a section on the floor in front of the shower. Great product and easy to use. Be sure to follow the directions carefully.

I have cement subfloor in my shower . Can I use this instead of a shower pan liner?

Hi, A liner would be preferable, but this membrane will work too, assuming the concrete is stable, there is a natural slope to the drain and there are no breaches. If you use a Durock shower installation kit it adds a natural slope to a center drain installation. That would be preferable then use the Durock membrane over the top before using mastic and tiling.

Is this like flex seal liquid?

If you are referring to the “flex seal brand” sealer that is on the market it doesn’t compare.This liquid waterproof membrane is like a very thick paint that goes on smooth with roller or brush.this is a very good product that I have used on several occasions..... it provides excellent waterproofing qualities if used as directed p,usually two coats will do the trick.
