Can I leave it connected all winter?

My battery charger/maintainer is always connected to my motorcycle from about September through about May. It may or not be connected when the weather is consistently 60 degrees or warmer, since the bike starts without the battery needing to be charged when it's warm. Cold or really cold weather really seems to take a tool on motorcycle batteries. I will also say that it's very easy to use the charger, meaning that mounting it on a surface is easy and connecting the leads to the battery itself is easy.

Will this work to charge a batter that is completely dead? I've hooked it up to the batter in my motorcycle, but the light is not coming on.

It appears the battery may need replacement if no light comes on when you connect it to the charger.

What size fuse is needed for this charger?

I'm not sure I understand the question. I just hooked the charger up to my bike without worrying about the fuses on the bike.

I just received this and can't seem to get it working. The charging light will not turn on. Any ideas on if it is a dud or is it something I'm doing?

I’ve had this happen a few times and ended up exchanging the battery maintainer. It WAS NOT because the battery was dead. I tested them on several batteries before returning.
