Great advice.
Matt takes a challenging subject and makes it accessible in view sized chapters. By guiding the reader step by step, supporting his advice with the best available nutritional research evidence, he converted my previous habits to align with those of successful endurance athletes. As a physician, I'm convinced he has the best approach to unlocking sustained performance weight management.

EXCELLENT BOOK
Though I'm a slightly overweight tennis player I really enjoyed learning the principles of identifying the ideal weight I should/could be, the body fat percentage for someone my age and then how to kick start a 4-8 week training programme to lose this excess fat.Am hoping my wife, who is a runner, will buy into the information within the book too.

Brilliant Resource for Endurance Athletes
Awesome. Packed full of great information presented in a way that is easy to digest (pun intended). Like all Fitzgerald's books, 'Racing Weight: Quick Start" is a must read for endurance athletes, even if you don't follow the meal plans one can get a sense of what ones diet should consist of. Great work.

Finding it at times, complex to understand.
This book is full of very useful information as is it's prequel edition. however at times it does take a little understanding for the layman. however once the complex parts are read a couple of times I do start to get to grips with it. It's ideal for most Endurance Sports Enthusiasts whether your into; Running, Cycling, Rowing or a Triathlete.
