Product is well made
Product is well made and hopefully I'll never need to use it. Installation was easy after trimming the center copper wire of the antennae cable that I attached to it (the coax cable was left with the center wire too long making it difficult to attach to the device).

sheer weight indicates its build Quality !
Can't rate it for "post strike" performance :^) ...but its sheer weight indicates its Quality and metal alloy construction

Outside the home lightning protection.
You need both inside and outside the house lightning protection. This is an excellent outside the home lightning protector. I should be grounded to the electric meter ground. Considering the dollar damage of lightning damage this is cheap protection

Happy, happy Happy with product!
Received today, I am thrilled! Installed easily & cleanly with no perceptible loss of signal!!! I live in a lightning prone rural property that resides over 90 miles from closest broadcast station. Looking forward to storms due this weekend to observe๐คช

It has no way to attach it to a support
This surge arrestor looks well-made, but it has no provision for securing it, so it ends up floating on the wires that attach to either end. I don't like this because it means someone pulling on the wires might put stress on the wires and damage them. It was also hard to get the cable plugged into one of the connectors and I had to very carefully open up the white insulator with a hobby knife. It does have a crimp connector to hook up a ground wire which is held onto the arrestor by a screw.

lighting prevention
Keeps lighting strikes from damaging out cable modem and network devices at church.

Gas Tube Dislodge = 2 Stars
The gas tube was not in place. Had I not read another review about this (known?)issue I too would have returned this - you could tell my package was already opened - the tape on the box was cut. Somebody noticed the gas tube was missing but in reality, it simply/ somehow was never assembled correctly. Instead of returning I unlodged it and assembled it correctly - the way Proxicast should have. At this point I'll assume this is now properly functional but who knows.

Missing gas tube
Well made but the one I ordered is missing the gas tube. I had to order a package of replacement tubes. So check yours before installing it so you can return it if needed.

didn't fit my standard RG-6 cable with solid central copper conductor.
Did not fit my standard RG-6 Coaxial cable. The center conductor of the coaxial cable is to thick to fit into the adapter. I checked the diameter of the coaxial center conductor with a micrometer and it was within the specs for a RG-6 cable. Apparently I read there that not all of these central conductor cables are solid copper. Some are steel with copper coating and they have a much smaller diameter. It could be that this adapter is meant for that type of cable???
