The forecast for my camping trip kept dropping from hi of 50 Fahrenheit low of 30 to more like 40/20 with gusts up to 30mph. It got at least down to 24 degrees at night and Im glad I had this pant. On the hike in, about 38 degress, I was warm without sweating a bunch. I had to go under a downed tree. Had to get lower than expected and knee went in the mud for a half second. Pant didnt feel wet at all just looked like a dirt patch on the knee. Handled the minor snow flurries just fine. At night chilling at camp i had my thermal base layer, this pant, and my rain pant over. The rain pant basically has no insulation. I was fine in the 20s with the wind. They were also comfy to sleep. If I had to knit pick the velco back pockets are hard to break loose. I guess thats a good thing so you dont loose anything. However I hope they loosen up a little with break in. Also the cargo pocket zipper is vertical instead of horizontal. I feel like I have to bend slightly in order to grab the zipper at its lowest position. Not huge issues. Overall, I am very happy with the pant and look forward to using them again. I will definitely consider the non-lined summer version when I need to replace my summer hiking pant.

I've owned the Eddie Bauer Guide Pro shorts for a couple of years and like them a lot. As the weather turned cooler, I decided to pick up these Guide Pro insulated pants. They did not disappoint. When I initially put them on, the rise (from crotch to waistband) seemed a little short, making them ride lower than expected. After putting on a belt and wearing them for a moment they fit well. I like the look and feel of the pants. They are different than some of the soft-shell pants I own and use for winter camping and other outdoor activities. The shell and the insulation on the Guide Pro pants are two separate pieces and move somewhat independently. It's a nice feature because the inner lining tends to stay put (doesn't rub) while the outer shell flexes and moves as needed. I really have nothing negative to say about these pants. I guess I could do without the "A" FirstAscent logo on the left pant leg, but it's a small point. I am 5'10", 195 pounds with 34" waist and fairly athletic build. I purchased the 34x32 size.

I haven't worn these outside in typical VT Winter weather, but they fit very comfortably, warmed me too much inside on a 48 degree evening. I like the pocket features and the comfort of a basically nylon trouser. So far they look like they're going to get the job done. I'll update later in the year.

I was going to purchase some snow pants. Someone recommended lined pants. I saw these on promotion, and ordered - respecting the EB brand. Shipping took a long time, and I missed a couple of snow shoveling events. But when they finally arrived, oh baby. These are amazing. They feel so comfortable. As other reviewers thought the size was too small, these were just right for me. I'm reviewing 34"x32". This is the same size I wear in Levi's jeans. The pockets, seams are all high quality and I love the color. Machine wash cold and dry on low is the instructions on the tag for washing.

Certainly warm in cold weather but the cut is kind of boxy. They work for me, but not as good as they could be if they had been at least slightly tailored.

These are probably the single best clothing item I've ever gambled on online. They are thin, breathable, and warm. Perfect for hiking or casual wear during cooler seasons. These are too warm to be worn year-round. The button seems kind of fragile so don't abuse the waistline- wear a belt if you need. I've had these for years and nothing has malfunctioned. Zippers and buttons are all intact. I got the 30x30 at 5'7 and around 140, they fit perfect maybe just a tad loose.

I am really pleased with these pants. I love the look and the fit is excellent. Here are some additional things I like: - The front pockets are deep; Nothing falls out while sitting - The zippered cargo pocket is just the right size to hold my phone - The stretchy fabric is soft and comfortable - The lining keeps you warm in cool/cold weather; They would be too hot in summer - While not waterproof, the fabric sheds water to help keep you dry - The velcro closures on the back pockets keep your wallet secure

I just used these pants on a weeklong ski trip to Breckenridge, CO. I wanted a pair of ski pants that were not so baggy. I searched high and low for reviews of these pants from people who had used them skiing. I found tons of reviews saying how comfortable they were and how well they did in cold temps so I decided to give them a try. They were amazing. Super soft fleece lining, stretchy outer material, and held up great to the wind and snow. I used these in temps ranging from 9 degrees up to 30 degrees. I always wore them with an under armour base layer. I stayed warm all week and never got too hot. I love these pants!

These are the warmest most comfortable pants. I have bought a second pair. Great stretch in all the right places and just right for working outside on those cold days
