Great shoes

Olukai is notorious for sizing things too large. I take a size 10 in footwear.Some years ago (by the way, if you’re like my wife and find these kind of stories boring and/or annoying, now would be a good time to go do something else) I bought Olukai Nohea mesh slip ons. The salesperson advised sizing down 1/2 size, so I got a 9 1/2. Truthfully, they were still too big but they’re well made and casual so I kept them.A few years later, I was ready for a new pair and knowing that 9 1/2 was too big I got 9s. Too small. Go figure.So now, a few years on I decided to buy Olukai Lae’ahi slip ons. Armed with the above inside knowledge I got 9 1/2s. Too small! So I’ve returned them and am awaiting the delivery of a pair of 10s.What’s the moral of the story? Well, for openers, Olukai could standardize their shoes to US sizes overall or, failing that they could at least have consistency between their products,even if they’re too big across the board.Or I suppose I could buy someone else’s shoes or stop buying shoes online altogether.Meanwhile I’ll hope that the 10s arrive soon and fit. Wish me luck
