The TP-Link Tapo C225 is an impressive 2K QHD pan/tilt camera that has exceeded my expectations in every way. The image quality is outstanding with crisp, clear footage both day and night thanks to the excellent color night vision feature. I love the Apple HomeKit integration which makes it seamlessly fit into my existing smart home ecosystem alongside my other HomeKit devices. The pan and tilt functionality combined with AI motion tracking means the camera automatically follows movement, which is perfect for monitoring my pets and keeping an eye on the front door. The physical privacy mode is a great feature that gives me peace of mind when I don't want the camera active. Setup was straightforward through the Tapo app, and the two-way audio works well for communicating through the camera. The Tapo C225 camera is by far the best camera I’ve ever purchased—simple, hassle-free, and incredibly easy to install. Its ceiling-mount system is brilliantly designed: it’s extremely easy to attach and remove, and you can reinstall it just as effortlessly if needed. It offers a wide range of features, a very responsive interface, and excellent image quality. What really surprised me at this price point is how advanced the technology is—especially for smart home projects. One of its most impressive features, which even many high-end cameras lack, is the ability to work with both RTSP and HomeKit Secure Video simultaneously. Tapo got this absolutely right. The camera receives regular updates, and if you prefer to work exclusively within the Apple ecosystem, it supports facial recognition, live streaming, and iCloud recording through HomeKit. If you’re looking for a camera with full native HomeKit support at a great price, this is the best option out there. It also integrates perfectly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Home Assistant. I originally bought it just to test it out, but it completely exceeded my expectations. Tapo delivers great quality at an amazing price. I truly hope they release more models like this with native HomeKit compatibility.

This exceeded my expectations. Setup was fast and easy through the Tapo app, and it connected to tplink app without a hitch. The video quality is impressively clear, both during the day and at night. I love the ability to pan and tilt remotely, and the motion tracking works well (but i don't use it that often). The privacy mode is a thoughtful touch for added peace of mind. Great for monitoring pets or keeping an eye on your home while away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a smart, reliable indoor camera at a great price.

Good camera for the price. The video quality is clear with 2K resolution, and the pan/tilt feature works smoothly, letting you cover the whole room easily. Setup is simple, and the app is user-friendly. Motion detection and alerts are reliable, and the night vision is decent as well. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to without any hassle. For the price, it’s a solid choice if you need a basic indoor security camera.

Plug and play! App easy to use. Connect to new xfinity internet with WiFi 2, 5 and 6. I didn’t have to change my WiFi band at all. Very easy functionalities/ you can manage notifications with ease in the app. It took me 10 minutes to get it going.

I can’t recommend the cameras. All 3 cameras failed to set up. They’d connect to WiFi, but no feed appeared in the app. The app didn’t even show them. The download app they use to download the info to connect the cameras showed a feed, but if you clicked on the thumbnail to view it, it had a fatal error, then the cameras would go completely dead and just the light would blink. I tried all 3 cameras one-at-a-time and then I tried all 3 cameras together. Wouldn’t work. I called and was on the phone with IT for about an hour. Their English was better than most IT, but they had me re-try the set up and delete several times as well as reset WiFi, modem, phone, etc. They were supposed to escalate the ticket to their next level of support and call me back the next day from the same number I called. No one has called and no one has left a message. It’s been 2 weeks. $200 for cameras they can’t fix and don’t bother to call back. I’d give them -4 stars if I could. IT level 2 called us back 3-4 wks later at 8-9 pm at night. They didn’t seem to know as much as IT level 1 did or maybe it was just that they didn’t communicate well in English, but they were eventually able to connect the cameras to my phone Hotspot and then declared it a victory. That doesn’t help us out because we don’t have unlimited Hotspot and we aren’t always home for the cameras to run on my Hotspot. We put the one camera (that they got to work on my Hotspot) on privacy mode that night (pushed button on the front of the camera) and then it would never connect to Hotspot again. IT told us to call our cable provider to switch our smart WiFi to just 2.4 long enough to set up the cameras and then they said the cameras should work on our smart WiFi (Smart WiFi automatically switches between 2.4g to 5g as needed). We called and had the cable company switch our WiFi to 2.4g the next day, but the camera would only connect intermittently then quit connecting after about 10-15 mins. We tried the other 2 cameras and could never get them to connect. I’ve seen other reviews mention the cameras have trouble staying connected to WiFi. So, we switched our WiFi back to Smart WiFi and returned the cameras. These were no better than Eufy cameras. We’ll probably look for refurbished Samsung cameras since we know they work well here or a Ring camera. Just be aware that your u need a super WIFI signal or it may be a bust for you.

Por experiencia, no solo es comprar cámara porque es barata, lo mas importante es comprar una marca reconocida que sabes que es reconocida porque eso te asegura que te están ofreciendo calidad, soporte y actualizaciones, de nada sirve una cámara barata pero que la marca no brinde actualizaciones. En este caso, la marca TP Link es una marca muy buena que tienen otros productos que te ofrecen muy buena tecnología. Yo elegí esta marca porque dentro de la misma App no solamente puedo agregar la cámara, si no que también puedo añadir diferentes tipos de sensores, de movimiento, de puerta y ventana, de temperatura, puedo añadir focos inteligentes, enchufes inteligentes, trae la opción de agregar robot aspirador, y eso es lo importante, controlar todo eso desde una sola app. La calidad de los materiales de la cámara 10 de 10, la calidad de la imagen 10 de 10, el sensor de la cámara es muy buena, con poca luz se ve muy iluminada la imagen, trae visión nocturna con dos tipos de led infrarrojo, un infrarrojo nuestro ojo puede ver el led rojito encendido, pero el otro infrarrojo es inperceptible al ojo. Al video le puedes modificar los FPS hasta un máximo de 30fps... Soporta una micro sd de 512gb para grabación, la grabación puede ser programada solamente cuando detecte movio oooo, puede tener grabación continua sin limite de tiempo, lo que se graba dependerá de la memoria que le pongas, si se llena la memoria te da la opción que en automático se reescriba el video, y lo mejor de la cámara es la Inteligencia Artificial, sabe diferenciar entre animales, carros, personas, tiene seguimiento de objetivo, se puede programar que si detecta una persona y tienes un foco inteligente de la misma marca, cuando detecta la persona puede hacer que en automático prenda el foco, y si hay mas dispositivos compatibles se pueden programar muchas funciones mas. Tiene modo privacidad, que lo que hace es ocultar la cámara. En fin, hay muchas funciones y acciones inteligentes que se le pueden programar. Lo uuuunico que no me gustó tanto es que al moverse los motores internos para girar la cámara se escucha el sonido de los engranes, es lo único que no me gustó, el resto es excelente. Cualquier cámara de la marca te da muy buenas prestaciones, solo que entre mas cara la cámara te brinda mejores prestaciones y mas calidad de imagen. Yo la agarré en oferta, como a $890 y algo, sube y baja el precio aquí en Amazon. Recomendada la marca TP-Link tanto como la cámara Tapo
