GAOY Brown Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish, 4629 Amber Blue, 16ml

This is a lovely polish and works as expected. It set nicely and looks pretty, but the effect seems a little more subtle than pictured. For $10 I would've expected something a little more flashy/obvious, but I'm not really unhappy with the item. Durability is fine. It also comes with a magnet to use for a "cat eye effect." The size is average to what you'd see in a salon, not tiny like you sometimes get with Amazon sets. For the money, I'd say it's a reasonable value.

I’m just starting to do my own nails at home using builder gel. This was my second attempt; the first time, I just used a nude-pink builder gel, but this time I opted for a clear one paired with this color and a raised gold design. For a beginner, I think it turned out really well. It’s a lovely soft pink shade that’s easy to apply and has a great texture. The included magnet works surprisingly well—I didn't think it would be very strong, but it’s just right for moving the cat-eye particles around. I’ll definitely try other shades from this brand. The gold effect didn't stick to the whole nail—and I didn't even buff the surface; I just cured the pink color, wiped it with an acetone pad, and created the design using a 3D relief gel. I am really impressed with this silver cat eye polish. I actually love it! It settles smoothly, magnetizes easily, and cures well. This is my new favorite color for fall, but that's not a surprise, because this brand usually delivers on quality for me. I'm just a DIY nail junkie, but I do nails for all my family members, and they've been complimenting my new color a lot.

I bought the ruby twilight color and while it's a very nice color, it doesn't look anything like the pictures. The pictures show a ruby base with a bright chili red shift. What I received was an oxblood base with a ruby shift. It's far more of a vampy dark red fall color than the more vibrant summery red in the pics. I'm keeping it because I'm not remotely opposed to vampy aesthetics, but it does lose a star for just not being what it was advertised to be. The brush is also way too big and I'd recommend starting on your thumb nail or wiping the excess off onto some paper. It has very good coverage and only needed 2 coats. I used it with a base coat of opaque red, but probably didn't need to. The cat's eye is a big hard to get the hang of for the first time and I didn't notice any instructions in the box, but what helped me was to try out several samples on a piece of paper first and see how the magnet interacted with the pigments. I expected them to be attracting the glitter, but the magnets actually repel it. So, if you want the sparkles all concentrated in the middle of the nail, you should put the magnet at the outside edges of your nail on each side and sort of push the sparkles towards the middle with the magnetic field instead of doing it the way I would have expected it to work which is to hold the magnet over the middle. It pushes the sparkles, it doesn't pull them! If you're doing 2 layers, do the opposite magnet movements for the layers. So if you want them in the middle, push them to the edges for the bottom layer and then push them to the middle for the top layer. I don't know why this made the effect so much better, but that was the one method I tested that looked the best and gave that classic opalescent shine. Overall, it's a good product, but the pictures don't match it.

Exactly what I was hoping for from this shade: if you have a skin tone similar to mine, it looks like a nude polish with a cat eye effect and subtle blush. I do think the magnetic effect in this one was slightly weaker than in other cat eye polishes I’ve tried from this brand, though it could have something to do with how light the color is. One of my nails came out pretty streaky but I think it’s because I tried to do multiple nails at a time. The key with these cat eye polishes is painting and curing one nail at a time or else the glitter will settle and ruin the effect before you can cure it. Not sure how long the bottle will last me but even just using it once is way cheaper than going to a salon and I prefer doing it myself. This is a good everyday color that I can wear to professional settings as well as being really flattering so I think I’ll end up using the whole bottle eventually.

I love this color it's so pretty!!! I love the shine to it! The quality is amazing and it doesn't irritate my skin at all the consistency is amazing and it doesn't leave any streaks!! It's easy and I got a magnet with it as well!

Not easy to use. No instructions for using the magnet. Hardly dries like other gel UV polish that I tried

Esta muuuuy hermoso el color, pensé que era transparente pero es como un plateado muy discreto. Trae su iman para crear el efecto y funciona bien. Lo usé sobre uña sin pintura, queda un color grisaseo plateado con el efecto y tambien sobre una uña con pintura rosa y opaca un poco el color pero aun asi se ve precioso.
