Great Oatcakes
Since moving from Dundee to Staffordshire, I have missed my Scottish Oatcakes. Now I have found a supplier. Loving the oatcakes.

These oat cakes are my new favorite thing! Iโve tried both the thick and thin varieties. I slightly prefer the thick, just because they have a bit more chew to them. Both taste equally delicious. (For reference, the thick variety cakes are approximately 3/16 inch thick and the thin are just under 1/8 inch.) Theyโre great with a piece of cheese, spread with jam or honey, or eaten plain. If you are the type who likes things like rustic multigrain bread, Triscuits, Grapenuts, etc., youโll probably love these as I do. My only complaint is regarding shipping. They were shipped with NO packing materials (see photo), so they slid all over the box during transit. They didnโt break apart in the box due to how the cakes are packaged in shrink-wrap, but the corners of the cakes were crumbled a bit. I thought perhaps it was just an oversight with the first box I received, but my second box was the same - a pack of cakes in a box with no air pillows or packing paper.

These are typical Scottish oatcakes (also known as "Bannocks"). They come in thick and thin versions and both are excellent. They use quality ingredients, so the taste is excellent. They are crisp, so know they are fresh - no stale oatcakes for me! I love the price because these oatcakes are not little! Two of them with some cheese or nut butter, a piece of fruit, and a cup of tea make a meal for me. A couple of them with preserves or marmalade make a great teatime treat. One thing you need to know, these are not at all sweet like Digestives or graham crackers! If that is what you are looking for, look somewhere else. I love these and am on my third order. They are now a staple in my home. They deserve their five-star rating and I have no reservations about recommending them very highly!!

I hadn't tried these nor even heard of them. So, I bought them. Yes, I like them. My favorite thing is to put a dollop of whipped raw honey on top. Enough to taste but not overwhelm the oatcake itself. I have also eaten plain and with a small amount of almond butter. Yes, I will get again.

Love them with a little jam spread on it for a treat or to crumb into yogurts and icecream
