By far the best Rooibus tea I have tried of the many brands that offer this type of tea. Immediately when the box is opened, it's a fresh aromatic smell of the rooibus blossoms. The tea brews a surprisingly rich tea color that is slightly reddish orange, looking very similar to the rich tea color of english breakfast tea. The flavor brews immediately after about thirty seconds.It has a nice flavor and if you steep it for another couple of minutes, it develops an even stronger richer flavor which pairs nicely with milk and sugar. Supposedly, there's lots of health benefits to Rooibus Tea. It is naturally caffeine free. Unlike other herbal teas, this tea has a richness to it that's hard to describe, but it feels more like you're drinking traditional tea but you don't have to worry about the caffeine.

Great taste and good quality

This tea is delicious. It doesn't taste like the majority of supermarket teas. With just a little sugar and a dash of half&half it is my perfect afternoon work tea. Buuutttt... holy smokes half of the 6 boxes were destroyed. Delivery was perfect with the box containing the 6 individual tea boxes a little ruffed up. I can't figure out how the inside box got so beaten up. I like to leave a box out in our break room for everyone but I just can't display 3 of these boxes.

You'll hear descriptions that Rooibos is naturally sweet. Not to me and not to anyone I've had sample it. There is nothing sweet about it. It's actually a tad earthy and smoky, more reminiscent of a weak coffee than anything else. That said, it's an easy taste to acquire. The main appeal to me is that is herbal (caffeine free) and chock-full of antioxidants, so the five stars is more than the sum of its parts. I have an enormous collection of all sorts of teas, and this one is my go-to for whenever I feel a sore throat, earache, cough, etc. coming on. It will either knock it out on the spot or greatly reduce symptoms and duration. Although you certainly can add sweeteners, milk, creamer, and so forth to it, my friends and I all prefer it straight up, and this is the only tea I ever have that way. I'm generally all about the add-ins. But not this one. It is also very good served as an iced tea. I've tried several brands. both cheaper and more expensive. Twinings is hands-down the best of the lot. Depending on where you live, you may find this tea hard to find in local stores, but the Amazon price is highly competitive. You're not overpaying for it here.
