Tastes like the restaurant serving. Yummy
Best tasting store bought chili that I have found so far. The Wendy's Chili with Beans tastes very much like the chili sold at the Wendy's fast food restaurants. It's great for that quick meal when your looking for something filling to heat up fast. Also makes a really good topping for a chili and cheese baked potato or over nacho chips with salsa. I could use two or three cans a week and never have the same meal twice. Big thumbs up for the chili!

Makes the best nachos
When it comes to a bowl of chili, I'm more of a New Mexico Hatch chile pork stew guy. But I've always loved Wendy's chili when I pick up fast food. This comes VERY close in flavor and texture, just slightly thicker. But I keep several cans on hand so I can whip up some great nachos in less than a commercial break during any ballgame on TV. Plateful of not-too-salty tortilla chips, buried in Costco shredded cheddar jack cheese and whatever heatable fixins like sliced jalapeรฑos and olives. Microwave chili in a mw-safe bowl 60 seconds, pour over cheese, microwave plate 30 seconds. Add cold toppings like cilantro and cut up avocado and you are all set, my friend!

Good chili
Love this chili! I use it with other ingredients, (extra veggies, more meat or beans) spices are tasty. Avocado and shredded cheese are good toppers.

Highly recommend!
This is the real deal. I love Wendy's chili, but hate having to make the drive to get it. Whatever the material of the can, do not leave it in your sink as it will cause rust stains. Not sure why it's different from other cans on the market, but it's not a problem with flavor. Every bit as good as the store itself. I always have some on stock just for a quick meal.

Perfect taste!!
Chili is great...someone here may have received a defected can of Wendy's Chili. I could taste the metallic taste he/she described...a bad batch of chili. Mine tasted like Wendy's best.

Not as flavorful as the outlet. Very expensive.

It's actually like real Wendy's chili.
I was surprised. Might be my new favorite. Probably not at nearly $5 a can but, putting the price aside, yeah, it's like having Wendy's away from Wendy's. Thing is, you got to follow the instructions on the can, heat it once as much as you would normal chili (and remember people think the whole can is a "serving" when in reality it's not, so you have to use your brain some and think), stir, then heat again. Perhaps even a good amount longer than the can prescribes, as I did, and before you know it, you got yourself a bowl of Wendy chili! The taste is 100% comparable. Now I see why some people have room to complain, when framing it to a fresh bowl you'd get from Wendy's direct (assuming their employees are on point - example, my closest Wendy's happens to be poorly-run, so I'm lucky if it's even lukewarm by the time I receive it, but ignoring that variable), sure the spices and peppers are going to be a bit less fresh and luscious (juicier) and of a lesser, enjoyable, savourable texture and tasteful element but everything else is there. And let's be honest, at a Wendy's drive-thru, depending on the spot and quality of management, it's a gamble. If the franchise is managed right, if you happened to show up during busy hour when the product is fresh or if you're a night owl like me and you're getting what's left after half a day, it's either fresh or it ain't. I can honestly say this is probably comparable to what the restaurant itself likely receives direct and reheats for consumers. Now, if you can get yourself a greater volume for a lesser price, fresh, go for it! Mine seems to be charging basically just about the same for even a small Chili (actually more, I just checked) so, it's not an unreasonable purchase for me. Now obviously this canned version likely has some extra fillers and preservatives (not to mention increased sodium) than what's delivered to the restaurant so it makes it "shelf-stable" and able to arrive safely from the plant to your pantry but, honestly, I for one couldn't tell the difference. It's not like most Amazon products where you have to commit yourself to a 12 or 24 pack and be stuck with a product you don't like, it's just one can. Try it. I can just about guarantee you'll like it.

Absolutely Disgusting - Nothing Like Wendy's Chili, Dented Can or Not!
My recent experience with this canned chili was, to put it mildly, deeply disappointing. While I cannot definitively state whether the condition of the can played a role in the sub-par taste, the overall impression was one of disgust and a stark contrast to expectations. From the moment I opened the can, a faint, yet unsettling, aroma wafted out. This was a prelude to the flavor that followed, which I can only describe as profoundly unpleasant. The most prominent note was a distinct "tinny" taste. This metallic undertone completely overpowered any other potential flavors that might have been present, leaving a lingering, artificial sensation on the palate. It was as if the essence of the can itself had seeped into the chili, rendering it unpalatable. This was a significant departure from what one might expect from a chili product, and particularly so when drawing a comparison to a familiar benchmark like Wendy's chili. Wendy's, for all its fast-food origins, offers a chili with a recognizable and generally appealing flavor profile โ a certain savory depth, a hint of spice, and a satisfying texture. This canned chili, however, bore no resemblance whatsoever. It lacked any of the expected warmth, complexity, or even a hint of genuine chili character. Instead, it was dominated by that off-putting metallic note, making it feel bland and manufactured in the worst possible way. The texture, while not the primary offender, also contributed to the overall negative impression. It was perhaps a little too uniform, lacking the varied chunks of meat and vegetables that one would hope for in a hearty chili. This might have been exacerbated by the overriding metallic taste, making it difficult to discern any nuance in the consistency. Given this overwhelmingly negative flavor experience, my conclusion is unequivocal: I will not be purchasing this product again. The unappetizing and tinny taste, regardless of the can's condition, renders it completely unacceptable. It failed to deliver on the basic promise of a flavorful and enjoyable chili, and instead provided a thoroughly unpleasant culinary detour. For anyone seeking a decent canned chili, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
