Why does the ad have wooden handle knifes and the in some pictures have black handle knives?

The GSI RAKAU Knife Set has wooden handles and a wood cutting board. This is the SANTOKU that has a plastic cutting board and black handles.

can the nylon case be machine washed?

I don’t see why not. It’s a solid built case. Might want to air dry it.
