I really like this belt. It looks great, feels sturdy, and the ratchet mechanism works brilliantly. After about 2 years of use, the surface of the leather split both front and back in the same spot. It still works, but is not going to last much longer. I like the belt so much that I've just ordered another one, but have knocked off one star as I feel like a belt should last a bit longer.
