The Power of a Praying Kid Paperback – January 1, 2005

That’s exactly what I need to my daughter (8 years old ) ! I just loved how is display the prayers and the prayers to be completed by themselves. Some notes very relevant! I really recommend this book as an amazing resource for kids !

This little book is a winner. It talks about the conditions of a child's heart which is open to learn to pray to God. We may not be thinking when is the approbrate time to talk to a child about prayer.Sometimes we don't know what's going on in a child's mind until you hear them talk to the Lord. Some of our kids are afraid or hurting, some are worried. Learning to pray helps them get off their chest what's troubling them. As a parent it is our responsibility to teach them how and why we need to go to our Heavenly Father. As a parent we need to get involved with our children and learn what the issues are that concern our kids. Hearing first hand what's on your child's mind can also help you as a parent to pray better for your child and the situation This book speaks about various situations and how God answers those prayers. It talks about why its hard to pray. It speaks about what kids pray about. It's backed up with Scriptures. It has questions to help children speak/pray about what's on their heart. Stormie Omartian is one of my favorite authors. She has several books out their for women that helps encourage, show love, and most of all how to talk to the Father. Sometimes we just need a guild line to help us realize how to approach this delicate subject with our kids and Stormis Omartian has done just that.

I would say all kids from 4 ( with a parent reading and explaining ) to 12 ( perhaps older) will find encouragement to pray and from both the author and other kids brief blurbs ( which are usually very insightful and pertinent to child using this )I really love how it explains the questions all ages ask / think about.It is all solid and has excellent answersIt helped my young one as he felt very discouraged and like God didn't hear him. The answers in this book opened his eyes and gave him a renewed faith and hope. Then he began to see slowly and increasing answers and solutions to his orayersc.There is a wealth of learning and applying in this one book. Simply explained and done so in a way that completely answers and satisfiesThis is the only book needed. It is a treasure He loves it and so do I

Love this book! We have a 10-year old and two 7-year olds, and all 3 benefit from this book. It's a great way to help your children expand their prayer, and understanding of prayer. Sometimes it serves as a great tool just for giving them ideas on what to pray for, as I think they sometimes confound themselves with making prayer seem harder than it is.

If you have a child who insists they don’t know how to pray (even when they’ve heard you praying a million times), get them this book! It’s a great book and helps children to understand that prayer is not a list of thank you’d and requests, but that it is a friendship and conversation with God.

Love Stormie Omartian's Power of Books, and bought this for me and my 7 year old. I was disappointed that some of the topics covered in this book are issues that my child hasn't been exposed to (i.e. divorce, separated parents, etc.) I think this would be a great read for around 10 years old. We will try it again then.

My 11 year old daughter loves this book. I adore Stormie, and have many of her books, so I thought I'd try this one too. It didn't let me down. It's an easy read for children and also fun for parents to read with them. Every family should include this book into their spiritual pursuit!

This book really talks to kids. It discussed some issues that are difficult and offers comfort and reassurance alongside more general questions with factual answers based on the word. My daughter got a lot out of reading this book and wrote synopses of each chapter and what she had learned. Definitely recommend for all praying kids out there!
