Shampoo for Dogs, Cats and Horses, 16 oz, Unscented

My dog would get huge sores on her body from eating chicken. This helped settle it down and stopped her from itching until I could get the chicken completely out of her body. It’s a great shampoo. Vet recommends this shampoo. Makes her hair soft too.

I tried the MiconaHex+Triz Shampoo on my dog and found a lot to like about it. The product is specifically formulated to address fungal and bacterial skin conditions and also claims to support barrier repair. The 16-oz size is generous enough to last several washes, and I appreciate that it is safe to use on multiple animals, including dogs, cats, and even horses. In use, the shampoo lathers well once the coat is thoroughly wet. It contains 2% miconazole nitrate and 2% chlorhexidine gluconate, along with ceramides and essential oils like lavender and lemongrass. These ingredients seem designed to calm irritated skin while fighting infection. The directions recommend leaving it on the coat for 5–10 minutes before rinsing, which allows time for the medicated ingredients to work effectively. There are a few things to keep in mind. Because this is a medicated shampoo, it can dry the coat more than a standard gentle shampoo. If your pet has sensitive skin or a dry coat, you might need to follow up with a conditioner or limit how frequently you use it. The scent from the essential oils is fairly strong, which might not appeal to everyone. It is also on the pricier side compared to regular shampoos, especially if frequent baths are necessary. Finally, you need to be careful during use and avoid contact with your pet’s eyes or mucous membranes as the label warns. Overall, if your pet struggles with fungal or bacterial skin issues, MiconaHex+Triz Shampoo is a solid option. It seems to deliver on its promise to treat skin problems, and the inclusion of ceramides for barrier repair makes it a well-rounded choice among medicated shampoos. For pets with healthy or very sensitive skin, though, I would recommend using it sparingly or following a veterinarian’s guidance.

Our puppy is five months old and for the past few months has gotten increasingly itchy all over and unusually smelly even though we kept him clean in between baths with wipes and dry shampoo. After multiple baths within one week it was clear his normal shampoo really wasn’t helping at all so I wondered if he had yeast issues and gave this product a shot after reading into it. I’m very happy to say his itching has gone down 90% since his bath yesterday and it’s the first time since we got him that he hasn’t had a weird lingering odor! Yay! The shampoo has a nice, subtle fragrance and his coat feels very clean and soft when it dried. I’m just glad we found something to give him relief, we will definitely be keeping this in stock at our house from now on

Good shampoo. Helped itching, hot spots and not so many scabs each each. Has bad skin. Fighting all her life. This has helped. Thanks to my vets recommendations

So far this shampoo seems to be working pretty well. It lathers well, has minimal scent, and hasn’t dried out dog’s skin too much. Hopeful it will help!

This works!! My dog got gummy scab piles that would eventually start flaking of and leave small bald patches. This is the only thing that worked to get rid of them. I need to wash him 2x per month and leave it on for 10 minutes. This stops his scratching and the scabs go away. Great product

This stuff is a miracle! My English bulldog as we all know has sensitive skin. We had been doing allergy shots and steroid pills all with no real luck I came across this shampoo on Reddit and decided to try. Yes it is a bit expensive but totally worth it! I haven’t had to spend a penny on vet care for his skin or itchiness since we got a small bottle 2/25 to try. And bathed him 2-3 times a week for a month when he started to get hair back in bald spots and you could see the relief he would run to the tub begging for a bath. he fully healed and all his hair returned and my poor baby was no longer miserable itching on everything nor did he have scabs or bald spots. Within one month we purchased the big bottle because we ran out of the small and it lasted from 3/25 to Oct weekly baths so he has had no problems so made a dumb choice and I tried a similar brand I had got when all this started and he is back to itching and ordered another big bottle I learned my lesson will never purchase a different brand dog shampoo ever again! I wish I had known about it with my previous bulldog. Just buy it you won’t be disappointed. He truely loves bath time

This stuff works GREAT! I have 3 pups. This stuff has stopped the licking on their paws and private parts.
