Product doesn't last, poor customer service

I had had this phone for about 6 months when I started having problems with it. The battery life was drastically reduced from when I first bought it, I was having problems with the speakers and the charging socket was faulty. When I tried to contact wileyfox through their website on a number of occasions and have had no response from them. I tried a number of other methods of contact and had the same result.Safe to say I'm not happy with either the product or the company and will not be buying any products from them again

Worked Brilliantly...for a couple of weeks

Loved the phone to begin with, worked well, looked smart and delivery was fine. However, after a couple of weeks of standard use, the phone starts to freeze. Now I can't use it without it freezing - and most of the time I have to lock and unlock it just to un-freeze it. The apps often crash and even when they don't crash, they take ages to load. It usually takes at least 20 seconds (and a lot of swearing) to just use the camera. I've tried deleting everything to free up space and see if this helps and it makes no difference.I'm disappointed as I really wanted this phone to be good as it would be great to have a successful British phone company, however it just infuriates me every time I use it.

Premium feel, budget price. Great for android users.

Lived with the phone for a week now. I wanted to wait to write a review as I didn't want to rush things and I wanted to go more in depth with something that may be an important purchase.Day one: Take it out of the box, the phone feels great, there's a weight to it but it's not too heavy and looks and feels like a high end phone. It came with 53% charge so I swapped my sim from my Samsung Galaxy S5 into the swift 2. First thing to note is that the back of the phone can't be taken off (so no replacing the battery) and there's a tray for your sim and memory card rolled into one. It was easy to work out where to put the sim but I was a little confused over the memory card but if you look at the tray itself you can work it out. You need to turn the phone face down in order to get the tray in properly which felt odd but it was easy enough and I got it right first time.Connected to my network with no fuss so.... setting up my account. The menu system feels totally natural if you've used Android before, I had all my apps installed and running within an hour (and I have a lot of them!) and I was left with 5gb of space on the phone from the native 16gb so the software is quite light compared to the bloated mess of my Samsung (I still love samsung phones.... more on that later)Got rid of the google search bar (turn the search bar off) and customised all my menus to my liking. All good. Couple of quirks in comparison to my old phone. First of all there is a great feeling volume button on the side, great, below that is the power button. Great. That's all the pushable buttons, there's no front button the logo below the screen is just a logo, there are 3 buttons on the bottom of the screen that interact with all the menus and within 2 minutes I had worked out what everything did. No problem. I'm not sure how well they'll work with some apps but am also sure I'll get used to them. They don't annoy me.I mostly use my phone for Google maps (I'm a delivery driver) texting, social media etc and all of that works just how you want it too. Everything set up fine, no 'native' email app which was a bit odd and I had to download outlook and mail.com to get that on. No great hardship just know what you're in for.And now for the road test.4G - Check - The phone works better than my S5 did with 4G, the signal was never brilliant with my old phone but on the Wileyfox it is smooth.Wifi - It doesn't have the 5mb version of wifi but most phones aren't capable of top speeds in any case (unless they are the flagships) and to be honest, the phone downloads over wifi and 4G much faster than my S5, I sadly can't compare with my S7 as that was stolen which meant I had to buy an upgrade and why I got this phone in the first place! But it feels great.Screen - It's lovely. It's lovely. May only be 720p but the colours are vibrant, everything looks great.Camera - I haven't really given this a good test run yet but the 8m front facing camera is good. Rear camera has a flash and I wasn't expecting that for a 'budget' phone.Audio - It's a phone. It's never going to be amazing, but it doesn't sound half bad. Can happily listen to it while cooking or doing something else.Honestly baring a few things I can't really see myself bothering to change this phone for a while, it's just a really powerful phone for the money you spend and I can't praise it highly enough.Pros- Does everything my Galaxy S5 did and performs better than it by miles.- Premium look, budget cost.- Always Unlocked.- Simple to setup for android users.- It's connected. NFC, Bluetooth, 4G and the connections are solid.Cons- Can't remove the battery.- No 'plug' for the USB cable, but we all have a usb plug at home right?- No 5mb Wifi (not really a con for me but some may see it that way)

Great choice

I spent ages trying to decide which phone to go for. I am migrating from an iPhone 5S. It was between this and a Moto 4G Plus or Play. I went for this after reading lots of reviews and getting a great price on Amazon. Firstly the build quality is outstanding. It feels like it will last a long time. It's fast and the software is clutter free. The fingerprint sensor is right where you put you finger naturally and it works flawlessly. That combined with the NFC/Android Pay capability makes the phone work very well for contactless payments. Without a case the phone is quite slippy and a 5 inch screen is at the limit for my large hands. Time will tell if I get used to it. I've fumbled a few times when trying to snap pictures of the kids quickly. I could do it one handed with my old 5S. There are a couple of oddities which I'm currently working through, not sure if they are showstoppers yet so mentioning them just in case. It won't pair with my in built in Mercedes Bluetooth car telephone. It works for music but not for calls. I may decide to live with that as I have a headset as well which pairs up fine. Also, there is one parking app called Phone and Pay which won't work. The developers said they don't support Wileyfox. Odd because every other App I have works absolutely fine.Customer Service at WileyFox is very good. I had a few support questions about the Bluetooth and I got a response within minutes.UPDATE - I decided to return the phone as I couldn't get it to pair with my Bluetooth car kit. Shame as I liked this phone. I got a Moto G4 Plus instead

Don't worry this is the real thing.

I was a little cautious about buying a non-big brand phone, but as I wanted to avoid a new contract it was really the only choice. Got to say I am completely impressed with the device. Just download the system upgrades to bring it up to android 7.1.2 once connected, wifi has been rock solid, 3G\4G mobile data connections are solid (you need to turn mobile data on for the first time, it won't prompt you). Device is solid, the finger print scanner on the back is awesome. If I had just spend 600 quid on a brand device I would feel like a total prat now. The device is quick and intuitive to use.
