Good for one of my dogs, very bad for the other
Worked ok for one of my dogs but the other had a bad allergic reaction. She got really itchy, scratched herself red and raw, hunks of fur fell out. Vet thought she had mange and treated her for that but it didn't clear up until we put it together that it started the same week that we started her on this and we stopped giving it to her. The fur still hasn't grown back but the scratching seems to have stopped.

Works so much better
I've got a big older dog who had weak hind legs and hips when I adopted him a couple of years ago. He's a two-breed mix, Newfie and Lab, and both are prone to dysplasia. Despite keeping him on the usual tablets veterinarians recommend, the Dasuquin for big dogs, he took a huge turn for the worse this spring. His hips and hind legs just collapsed on him, and he'd yelp in pain getting up, and whimper in his sleep. The medications for pain are too harsh for long term use, so I had to try alternatives. This has strengthened them and smoothed his movements again. He's not crying in his sleep and rarely yelps when he gets up now. It has definitely made him more flexible. He's now got full-on myelopathy, so the weakness in his legs is due to nerves deteriorating. It seems unkind that the nerves can still let him feel hurt if his hips don't get enough supplements. Thank goodness this is available now! I just found a great orthopedic bolster bed for him here, too. Gotta love Amazon. I'd like to inspect their warehouses, talk to the workers there, though. I really don't want people abused to get things that save my dogs. This isn't available locally at all.Others comment that it's thick. I find it pours quite nicely. Maybe they're refrigerating it? I looked closely, but since my kitchen's cool and it doesn't say to, I don't refrigerate it. The bottle design is quite smart, the measuring easy. It's either the much higher dose of glucosamine, or the added yucca or bromaine or all combined with the liquid instead of tablet, but it's definitely better for him than the Dasuquin. I'd recommend switching before bigger problems arise. I wish I'd found it sooner, though it seems pretty new.

Dog eats it; dog plays like a puppy...
Our 80lb lab is 7 and fairly tender to the touch in his hips. This product seems to help him keep a spring in his step, and he is less tender in his hips when we're rubbin his back. But the tenderness is still there - I don't know that products like these can make it go away. This product is well packaged - you can see thru the plastic for easy measuring, doesn't need to be refrigerated, and it is THICK THICK THICK. To me that means it proves that it's potent, which leads to my fave feature that is I only need to spike dog's food once a day with this stuff. Other formulas require 2 doses a day.It smells like a big ol' nasty multi vitamin - which isn't a bad thing, just a thing. Dog eats it no prob....but I think he'd eat most things in his kibble except green beans. He hates green beans.

going back to my other brand...
This may work the same way...but I'm going back to the K-9 brand. I tried this because of the added Bromlain (sp), which helps discourage poop eating. This product is very thick...almost like a molasses. It's messy when pouring. The dogs like it...but I don't. I would definitely recommend the K-9 brand over this one. And, as far as the poo eating goes -- I'd rather give my dogs a teaspoon of pineapple, which does the trick!

Great Supplement!
I like this product. I spread it over the kibble and my beagle consumes it no problem. She has not had any issues with it at all since I started her on it a few months ago. The bottle makes it easy to measure and pour.

Works, but my dog got tired of it
My dog ate it for about a week then got tired of it. I kept giving it to her for two weeks though, and her hips did get a bit better. However, I've stopped using it because my dog won't eat enough food when this is on it.

Great for arthritis symptoms!
My dog is 10 years old and has slowed down quite a bit from joint pain. After trying the Bellyrubs Glucosamine with HCL she is acting like a puppy again. She is more comfortable when she moves and is even jumping up on the bed again! I would highly recommend this product for dogs with joint issues. Also, if you have a dog with allergy issues try Bellyrubs Organic All Natural 14-Ounce Freeze-Dried Dog Treats, Beef and Liver Flavor. They do not use preservatives, additives, or by-products. They are 100% natural and only use one ingredient... pure freeze-dried beef liver, lamb liver, or chicken liver.

I wouldn't have believed it
I bought this brand after having used both Synflex and Flexicose with my two senior dogs. I figured they must be doing some good even though I didn't see any really obvious changes. But the difference when we switched to the Bellyrubs was incredible! My twelve-year-old dog started jumping and wrestling again within a couple of weeks, and I thought it must be coincidence until I started giving it to my nine-year-old dog. After only ten days, she had a vet checkup that showed absolutely no sign of the moderate arthritis she had at her visit three months earlier. Even the vet was shocked and asked if I was doing anything different. Seriously, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. Try this stuff, really.
