So, let me give a straightforward answer: ***DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE TO USE WITH AN M1 MAC**** The Steel Series GG software, which you need to program the $100 + mouse DOES NOT WORK with the M1 macs, so yes, it "works" on a Mac the same way that any $5 USB mouse from the dollar store will. Plug it in and you get two buttons and a wheel. If you actually want to program it, you'll need to find a 3rd party solution like USB Overdive which will give you some of the functionality you'd expect from an MMO mouse.
