SkyRC GPS Meter GSM-010

I bought this for use with radio controlled aircraft. So far I've only used it on the ground, and there some very obvious problems. First, it is supposed to set to UTC time, but sometimes it does, then another day the clock will show either two hours or one hour early. The software from skyrc is supposed to have the facility to change time zone, but it just doesn't work. Second, the position on the ground when the recorded path is shown on Google Earth is way out, nowhere near accurate, and the errors in position appear to be random. Thirdly, the firmware update process does not work, and though the software sometimes (not always) shows a firmware update is available, it fails when told to install. Thirdly, I can't find a way of zeroing or calibrating altitude, so the use for radio control planes is limited.

Easy to use, not waterproof however I can't download the config software because the skyrc site doesn't respond.
