Perfect for pencil grip
The other ergonomic hooks I've tried are too long and the handles are too flat to easily manipulate using pencil grip. This hook is perfect. The Boye-style hook is smooth but catches the yarn securely and pulls it through easily. Length of the shaft to the handle is just right for holding the handle comfortably. I wasn't looking for or expecting increased speed, but it comes naturally with this hook. I have always used plain metal hooks, either Boye or Bates, because they work well with pencil grip, but they can be a bit slippery, especially in cold weather. I am very pleased with the texture and grip feel of the Tulip hook. I started with just one hook, but I'm hoping Santa will bring me a full set for Christmas.

Tulip Etimo crochet hooks are great!
I love this Tulip hook. I bought it as a backup piece in case I misplace my other one! I love love love Tulip brand hooks. These are the best crochet hooks I have come across that are comfortable and very light in your hand. My eyes get tired before my fingers or wrist do, lol. I highly recommend this brand and have gifted sets to friends.

Favorite Hooks Ever!
My favorite hooks! A little spendy for those of us on a fixed income but for this old "hooker," there are no others. Shop carefully, though! Prices can range from "reasonable" at $11 to "What?!?" in the $15+ range. Being on a fixed income, I buy when I find them at $11, and then I buy as many as I can afford so I always have a favorite size on hand. These hooks are worth it.

crochet with comfort
Lovely to work with. Allows for easy crochet experience as yarn does not split. Saves time. Smooth to handle anddid not experience hand discomfort although yarn was quite thick.

Not bad, but not what it's touted as...
The Tulip Etimo crochet hook glides through the yarn nicely. It is nice and lightweight. However, these are not as great as they are claimed to be. The ergonmics could be a lot better -- the handle is still very slim, which is a problem for someone with hand issues needing a true ergo handle. There are other brands, much cheaper, with a better ergonomic grip. It's not a bad hook, the construction is solid. The ergonomics just need to be better.

Only One J Crochet Hook Sent!
Love the J hook, however, I ordered 2 and was only sent 1 J hook, and a B hook! I don’t know anything about a size B! Too small! Fortunately, my husband likes it, so we’ll keep it.

Can't go wrong with a Tulip Etimo Hook
Love these hooks. Smooth, perfect throat and point for the way I crochet. The grip doesn't get tacky. Very long lasting. I've had this hook for years now. It's the same as the day I received it.
