Easy to use
Great kit to have for the sheep farmers, easy to clean, sharp blades, quite when on full. Thanks.

Amazing!
Amazing!!!!! I bought some Razors to use on my small flock for clipping, crutching & when the sheep had strike - it always seemed like hard work! I bought some new blades but they made no difference. Bought these on the off chance & ive managed to clip by myself. They are quiet, light & so much easier to use. I might buy a second pair!

Not bad at all
Was really nervous about these . Had to give them a go as got an awful lot of makita stuff and batteries. I've crutched over a 100 ewes and sheared a couple with strike. Gotta say, best cordless clippers I've bought so far..... heads a little rattley, but for under 70 quid waddya expect!!!!

Crofters review
I bought these alongside a makita battery adapter so I could use my dewalt batteries. Used today for dagging 10 sheep and didn’t use one bar on my 5.0 amp battery. Overall very pleased with the cut, ease of use and cleaning. Only thing is that whilst there is a wee oil bottle in the box, it doesn’t come with any so make sure you have some for oiling the blades

Don't be put off by the price!
We use Makita tools anyway so thought I'd give this a try. I've never used electric shears before but these have actually blown me away for what they are. They are actually surprisingly lightweight and easy to manoeuvre, a little large for use on fiddly areas like around the shoulder but otherwise brilliant. I've used them to trim up 8 show sheep so far and shear one fully, and I'll be using it to shear next year.

Disappointed
Was disappointed that the battery and charger had to be brought separately and didn’t know which one would charge it.so very confusing so not very happy as I can’t use it as it hard to know which charging unit to order. ☹️

Perfect for what I need
I only have three sheep and they need shearing twice a year, there is a local farmer who can do it but he’s often busy so I thought I’d have a go myself, I looked round for shears but anything professional was £300+ and I don’t need that, even some of the cheaper brand cordless ones were £200 so I’d resigned myself to getting a corded pair when I found these Makita lot battery ones, I’ve had Fakeita stuff before and though not as good quality often gets the job done at a price the diyer can justify. Well these arrived today and at first I thought the battery wouldn’t fit but it was just tight and might need a bit of sanding to fit more easily, that aside the shears seem solid, sharp and as the sheep are not due for shearing yet the dog stood in and got a trim, they glided through with zero snags so easily I thought they hadn’t done anything till I looked at the short patch on the dog, I’ll report back once I use them properly on the sheep but so far for £65 they are spot on.

Even better than I hoped for.
Having read Neil Woody's review, I went in at the deep end and bought these shears. I didn't have the advantage of already having batteries. Being a smallholder and not a lot of experience I found them really well balanced once the battery was on. Having only used 240v shears before, I found them so much easier to use.
