More than worth the price!
A good running engine at a great price. I'm impressed by how good it actually is for the price. The detail is basic, but the price is a lot less than the $200 - $250 range for premium models.

Great Model of Classic Rail Power
I’ve bought several of these Walters GP9 models from Amazon by watching when they are on sale. It’s a nice model, runs smooth and will be easy to add some detail and depth. There’s lots of pictures of this engine on short lines so I will be able to have an example of use and wear to replicate on my short line. This is old school DC operation, which personally I prefer. I would rather spend my money and time with other aspects of the hobby. Came when promised with no damage.

Excellent Value Locomotive!
Amazing little locomotive for the money. Just getting back into model railroading, and came across this one on sale for around $63 dollars. Incredibly happy with the purchase, and it compliments my other BNSF and Santa Fe locomotives well. The detail is actually quite good for this price point in my opinion. It runs very smooth and I had it pulling 10 cars very easily. Also, I was impressed with how smooth the start and stop was at slow speeds. No jerking or sudden pulses with my unit. Overall you can’t go wrong with this one!

this engine is perfect for our layout! pulls good and smooth, and looks fantastic! this version is DC, but thats exactly what we wanted ! i may purchase another color/style of this engine! great value !!

Beautiful unit,but mine does not work properly
Received the unit and it work just barely. Lights up fine,but even under full power it will inch and stop,repeat. Unfortunately I am not able to return do to not mobile enough to make it to drop center. It will look nice on my shelf though. Next time I will try for the CP model. Usually walthers are perfect. Maybe it was the transit. Thanks anyways. -chris

Beautiful smooth and runs great
I am just a hobbyist but for me this loco is awesome! Runs so smooth and I finally have one that doesn't hiccup on turnouts. Arrived fast, zero damage, beautiful paint and detail for the price. Looks great hauling oil tankers on my layout, highly recommend!
